Have you considered a commission sale at bass Bros or bass direct they reach a bigger audience and you’ll probably get more
Strangely that had slipped my mind to do that!! I’ve messaged Bass Direct

There’s been surprisingly little interest in this so price reduced to £995.
This is a ludicrous price for a special edition bass!

Hey!
The strings are bronze covered with transparent plastic?
Brand?
Gorgeous bass!!!
Hi there, they’re LaBella Copper White Nylon Tapewounds (760C I believe). They sound absolutely exquisite and importantly for me are silky smooth. I do a bit of climbing which leaves my fingers pretty raw so discovered these let me keep playing.
Worth noting I intend to replace these for the sale since it’s due a re-string anyway so’ll happily take advice on a ‘normal’ high quality string.

I keep coming back for a look at this beauty!! The craftsmanship here, truly amazing!! An, as new £5.5k bass at £2.2K It may be a lot of money, but bargain alert!! GLWTS👍😃
Cheers, being a high end custom instrument, I’ve no doubt made some niche choices not everyone would go for (thinking passive & purple hardware) but it is a stunner.

**Pride reduced to £995**
Hi there, I've decided to sell on my Spector Euro 1977 special edition since it rarely comes out of the gig bag (also included). I listed this on a Facebook forum some months ago but it's still available!
It's based on the original Spector bass made in 1977 and was limited to a run of 50 I believe. I purchased it second hand from Bass Direct 2 years ago for £1400 and it hasn't left the flat since, hence it still has the original price tags and label on from there.
For full transparency- It's immaculate with the exception of one small scuff in the middle of the neck. I hadn't noticed it until photographing but it can be felt if you're feeling for it.
I believe UPS can deliver uninsured for £30 or I'm happy for collection.

I've spent a fair bit of time away so not bumped this recently and regrettably missed a few questions - it's still available though!

Stunning workmanship. If I were a better bassist I would be all over this and play nuevo flamenco. Unfortunately I am a meat and potatoes blues rock bassist, haha! Have a bump from me for a wonderful bass
Thanks Clarky! Much appreciated 👍

No interest in the Super Symmetry? Have reduced the price to £120
-
Ah, I should add - I'm happy to source and replace the strings prior to sale - I'm well aware nylon tape wounds are a niche choice! (I took up climbing and found nylon tapes to be smoothest to allow playing with raw fingertips 😂)

How was I so unaware of how in-demand the COG would be?! 🤷♂️😳

Apologies to those who missed out, the COG has sold almost instantly

As a designer, can I just salute the specification of hardware that's an actual Pantone colour? The knowledge that this is possible is going to change my world/GAS/bank account forever.
Looks as smooth as a buttered eel. GLWTS
I spent so much more time agonising over this decision than anything else in the build! I only wish I knew how to get this applied to hardware all my basses!

Hi there,
I'm going to let these two go since I haven't used either for at least a couple of years. The COG is just a phenomenal Octaver and pretty rare to find now and Darkglass quality always speaks for itself. Unfortunately I no longer have any boxes for either but the Darkglass can be posted in a Tech 21 tin (the Darkglass is also Velcro'd)
COG T-16 for £100 *SOLD - sorry*
Darkglass Super Symmetry £120 *SOLD*
Free postage to the UKBest, Tim

My final fee was £5500 just 2 years ago for reference.
Hi there,
I've decided to sell on my custom Jerzy Drozd, which I received in August 2020. It was originally commissioned in 2018 to my specifications - a lightweight, walnut topped, passive 4-string with purple hardware and 33" scale. It's been semi-hollowed so is lovely and lightweight and as far as I've seen this is the first of Jerzy's new body shape I've seen come up secondhand. It's in immaculate condition, having never left my flat and comes with a quality Hiscox case.
Here's the full spec list:
Scale: 33"
Frets: 24, stainless steel, medium
Body wood: Swamp Ash
Body top: Figured Walnut
Body type: Hollowed body
Neck wood: 3-piece Maple
Neck depth: 21mm at first fret
Fingerboard: Pau Ferro
Fingerboard radius: 20" (508mm)
Fingerboard markings: Mother of Pearl side dots
Electronics: Passive - Volume, Pan, Tone
Electronics: Custom pots - Pau Ferro, custom control knob sizes
Control plate: Pau Ferro
Pickups: Hard Maple lower, Birds Eye Maple top
Hardware: Purple, Pantone 2695 C
String spacing at bridge: 20mm
Needless to say, this is an absolutely stunning instrument - any questions at all, please do get in touch!Best, Tim

Can’t belieeeeeeeve no one’s bought this yet.
It’s understandable, there are a lot of great basses for sale at the moment at modest prices and also a significant population without an income for a few months now. It’ll sell eventually, it’s a great bass.
-
Thanks BigRedX and Jakester, I had overlooked anodising so will definitely look into that. Great points re trouble with the fine details with powder coating. Thankfully the bridge in mind has individual, removable brass saddles but I’ll look into anodising now over powder coating - the teeth in the tuners especially would need attention I guess.
That Gus is absolutely stunning btw and I can see the finish has stood up impeccably. Nice work.

Hi there,
I’ve had a thought to colour the hardware on one of my basses for a bit of uniqueness and was wondering if anyone else has tried it and if so with what results? I’ve spotted a few Jerzy Drozd basses have coloured bridge and tuners so thought maybe a domestic powder coat company might be able to do the same thing.
Thoughts/problems?

REDUCED to £2200 but UK sale only (for simplicity due to new brexit shipping complications)
Here’s something a bit special...
It’s a Jerzy Drozd Soul IV, which I excitedly purchased secondhand in 2016. She’s a truly incredible instrument; ultra lightweight and with a slim, fast, satin-silk neck. I’d describe the sound as modern, with the full range of EQ (Aguilar OBP-3) coming out when she’s opened up a bit!
Regrettably since acquiring a custom order Jerzy, this is more wall-art now so doesn’t get the playing time it deserves.
There are a few sites to check out for further photos and specs; Jerzy Drozd’s website, NoTreble bass of the week (I’m a proud owner) and the original listing on Bass Club Chicago (rrp $6,600!).

* 34" scale, 38mm nut width
* 24 frets
* Birdseye Maple fretboard

Any questions at all, please do pop me a message.
Note since taking the photos I’ve switched the strings to La Bella Black Nylons but can replace with Jerzy Drozd strings which came with my custom order if wanted.

Bad luck mate! I would advertise it as pre-dinged. Save the new buyer worrying about putting a mark on it.
Good shout, I’ll re-word the post slightly. It wouldn’t bother me too much, it’s 24 years old after all, but you’re right, cheers 👍

Thanks dyerseve, it was quite surprising when reading back the full spec sheet to appreciate the quality at every component choice. I guess that’s what small, custom builders can do.
