Would you recommend to learn on a fretless?

Not being a gigging bass player - but I do like to stand - I have been thinking about straplocks. Are they recommended? If so are they easy to fit? Which ones are best?

So it looks as if there is no difference in the MIJ to the American standard. Although there is a premium to pay with the USA built bass.

I know that the MIJ LTD has a precision pick up as extra. I am told that the USA built ones are better and have a slightly thinner neck. Which one to buy?

Thanks CamdenRob. Several people have said that the Fender MIJ 75 LTD's were hand built/made/finished or something like that! The youtube vids I have seen of them are impressive. I think I shall go for it. Les Pattinson used a Fender66 Jazz I think........

I bought a Takimine 512C semi acoustic bass and have also just bought a Traben Array 4 string bass, Any comments? Both second hand off eBay. Had a first lesson last week as well. Just trying to fit in practice time is the tough thing to do
