1. Woo, smokin'! Its a completely different pattern to my neck. I've seen a fair few stingray classics over the years with little to no birds eye/figured maple necks. Looks like we got lucky 😁
 2. Great question, From the range of several 2014-2018, 4 String Musicman Stingrays 3eqs I've owned, it is definitely on the lighter side of that bunch. I havent weighed the bass as my bathroom scales are out of order. According to retailers: Weight 10lbs, 4 oz (4.65 kg) - varies slightly
 3. MusicMan Stingray Classic 4 2EQ Vintage Burst, Birds Eye Maple Neck (No Trades) Located in Manchester Beautiful bass, currently out of production, a childhood dream infact was fulfilled by owning one. Alas its time to move on and pay off some bills. Bass functions 100%, everything works and all electronics (pre-amp and pickup) are stock Was setup last month by guitar repair workshop in PMT Manchester. I have included a ton of extras, (see pic) Polytuner, Pickguards, Pickup cover, Strap, Fender Cable, Extra foam mutes. Has one small dent on the front above the arm rest and common surface wear scratches on the lacquer on the back and corners of the bass. Neck has a thin folded piece of sandiing paper i put in as a shim as I play with super low action. The stringray class by design has a limit on how low the bridge scews can go, a shim was my way around this. Looking to post in the UK as a family member is extremely vulnerable to covid 19, can't have anyone over. Serial # B052788 Manufactured December 22nd, 2010 Build Code 120-RB-RM-W3-CS-C1 Model Classic StingRay 2 EQ Hardware Chrome Hardware
 4. The neck is finished with a hint of oil and wax, whilst still retaining the feeling of silky bare wood.
 5. Price Drop £1049 Included a ton of pictures so you can all appreciate this beauty! Reason for selling....with a heavy heart I am on the look out for a 2 band Stingray. Would Trade for a USA 2 Band EQ Stingray Its in a very rare limited colour! In low light it looks like copper, medium light pearl brown/red and in full daylight it has a pearl sparkle to its finish. Bass is in excellent condition! Included a matching high quality strap, strap locks, all case goodies. Official Music Man Hard Case No truss rod, neck, fret or any issues of any sort! Neck is magic to the touch. As this is an active bass it has faint electronic hum/noise that goes away once the strings or metal parts are touched, some quick copper shielding should fix this. Bass is immaculately cleaned with no rust or dirt/grime! Bass Weights 4.55kg. Freshly strung with Rotosound Steel 50-110! Has general wear and tear, a few scratches but only surface light scratches near the pick guard and on the pick guard. Due to Covid, not testing and only will be posting to address in the UK. Shipping included in Sale. Serial # E28730 Manufactured February 17th, 2009 Build Code 110-41-21-09-CS-CR Model StingRay 3 EQ H Color Cabernet Pearl Neck Maple Neck Rosewood Fretboard Matching Headstock Hardware Chrome Hardware

 8. E-mail from ErnieBall Musicman Customer Services 😁 ''Thanks for playing Ernie Ball Music Man! The pickup and preamp are authentic from a StingRay 5 made after 2007. MC053W is the part number of a plain circuit board with nothing on it. You'll find this in many of our bass models, but the preamps are all different as different components get added to the MC053W board to make the models different. Alnico pickups were standard in the StingRay 5 since 2007. Thank you. '' Another ErnieBall Musicman Customer Services Representative confirms this: ''The pickup and preamp in the photos would belong to a StingRay 5 built after 2007. MC053W is the part number of the raw green circuit board with nothing on it and is used in many of our bass models, ofcoarse the preamps are designed differently between the models in terms of what is loaded on to the blank circuit board. '' So yeah, appreciate all the answers on the forums guys!
 9. Good Afternoon all! 😁 2 Quick Question The USA Music Man Stingray 4 pre-amp code is written on the pre-amp PCB as 'MC052W' The question is: Does the USA Musician Stingray 5 pre-amp have the code 'MC053W' stamped on the pre-amp PCB? Do the Sterling Ray 35 and the USA Stingray 5 use the same 'MC053W' PCB with just different capicators? Cheers!
 10. Have a free 'Bump Up' Having once had the privilege of owning a Sadowsky Metro 5 P/J. Best built bass I ever have played in that price range. I've played 5 string Musician Stingrays, German Warwick Streamer Stage 1, USA Fenders Jazz bass'.

The B string is tight, really resonates piano like even on a 34 inch scale neck.
My local tech team were so impressed (these guys work with 60's Fender strats and rare Gibsons ) were full of compliments about the bass, ''easiest bass to set up, everything just works, exceptional built quality''
Very low action without any buzzing.
Pre-amp is transparent.
String tension across all 5 strings is tight!, a contrast to many premium 5 string basses having a 'floppy' string tension feeling about them when compared to their 4 string counterpart.
Good luck with the sale
