Which is a shame because it is definitely one of the finest vintage Fender short scales I have played. Had so many compliments about the sound/vibe of it after a recent gig. I'm resigned to taking a bit of a hit financially for a quick sale so £950 including UK shipping is what I am asking for. Given the wine red colour is rare, and compared to prices on Reverb for this model and colour that is a lot of vintage Fender goodness for the cash. I will quote @RaNoFuNkY here for the rundown for his eloquent summary, but I definitely concur that this is one of the best Mustang/Musicmasters I have played from this golden era: "This one has had the pickup upgraded (to a Lace Sensor I believe), which I really like. However, the original pickup is also included in the sale for the vintage enthusiast (and, it certainly does have its own charm). I have owned mustangs (new and vintage, with and without a bridge J pickup) - all of which I have moved on and kept this. These are great fun, and seem to be all the rage considering their humble origins. Possibly Nick Campbell has helped. This has a decent range of sounds with the tone pot - a nice P-like aggression down to some classic motown-ish thump when thumbed. I have deliberately kept this with old roundwound strings as I use it for the latter. I've gigged with it, but never in anger. It's in really great shape for a 45 year old bass. There are 3 thin scratches which can only really be seen at certain angles/lighting and I have tried to show this in the pictures. There are other small knocks, and a nice patina to the neck + hardware. This adds to the vintage charm. The colour is a nice "wine red", and the grain shows through nicely." Thanks folks. https://imgur.com/a/cqYiYme This is a very cool mid-60’s Hagstrom Futurama Bass in sporting a Dakota-like Red finish. Made in Sweden and all original...a 21 fret rosewood fingerboard w/original Hagstrom decal on the front of its headstock, a cool Hag “Kings Neck” sticker on the back describing the Hagstrom Expander/Stretcher truss rod system. The 2 pickups are quite punchy you can get quite a lot of tonal variety. Strung with new Pyramid Gold flatwounds, this sounds killer when played with a pick. Comes with what I assume is the OHSC sporting the Futurama logo, although this huge wooden case is quite heavy but good for shipping safely! (£25 in the UK). Thanks for reading

https://imgur.com/a/I7hv3WV Absolutely stunning all original Hofner Senator Bass, made in 1965 in the German factory. This is the real deal, and sounds sublime. That wonderful honky low end attack...play with a pick and mute with your palm, you'd struggle to find a better recorded bass tone!! You see so many of these without the original pickguard, but not this one, it's all there. Has just been set up by pro luthier so intonation is spot on, plays like a dream. Electronics are all good too, ready to rock. At present there is no case with it, so a handover near Oxfordshire or London is preferable. But if a serious buyer wanted to source a hard case I am not averse to shipping. Thanks for reading

http://imgur.com/a/IbY2Fku 1973 Fender Mustang Bass Competition Blue with OHSC. Stunning competition blue and features the distinctive "racing stripes" on the front. All original including hardware and electronics - pickups, volume and tone pots...I have included a pic of the pots which are dated 1973. Tuners, pickguard, bridge, all original. The next stamp has been checked and matches up. The serial number is pictured on the neck plate which you can search on various Fender databases. This bass had one previous owner prior to me who purchased it new in the 70's. I employed a top luthier to carry out some work when I acquired it, as it had been out of action for a long time and it needed some love. It has been refretted to a high standard. Some deep dings on the back and side of the body acquired whilst serving rock n' roll duties back in the day were filled in and sprayed (paint matches exactly). The foam mutes on the bridge were starting to crumble, so these were replaced. It is now sympathetically restored to it's former glory. In the interest of transparency you will note a slight chip to the original pickguard and some ageing to the bridge (pictured). The dark line on the rear of the headstock is the grain of the wood, not damage (fear not). The hard case is suitabally aged with some rust, one broken hing and one missing latch - could probably be cleaned up and retored if you had the time and inclination. If you were gigging, you would want to take out a new case and keep the OHSC at home for investment purposes! Strung with steel wounds and ready to rock. The action is set quite high according to my taste, but you may want to adjust. I see competition Mustangs going for very silly money in far worse condition...and this is clean! Price is fixed and a bit lower than I have listed elsewhere for my Basschat pals. UK shipping possible at buyer's expense. Cheers for reading

Dropping price to £1500 which is pretty competitive for an all original mid-70s Mustang! Here we have an all original 1975 Mustang bass that has seen some action, but as you see from the pics is in beautiful condition. http://imgur.com/a/bWHsAwR I have owned a few Mustangs, and this one is one of the lightest I've had. The wood is resonant, and it plays beautifully all the way up the neck. I imported this from the highly respected Bambibau Collection in Italy, purveyors of very fine vintage basses. They only deal with the good stuff! Vintage Mustangs are in my opinion the best sounding basses to record this, and this has been used on a couple of high profile projects recently. And whilst lockdown put pay to my hopes of getting this thing onstage, it will turn heads! The most notable dings/damage are clearly shown in the pics...the scrape on the back of the neck near headstock, and two dings on the edge of the bass parallel with volume and tone knobs. I am selling without case, but have a padded Fender gig bag. It came with a generic non original hard case, but I am hoping to use that. If it's a deal breaker we can discuss.
