The answer is, if your jazz bass has passive pups' (which it probably does), then yes, you can use the Dynamic Correction MEC pups and connect it to the pre in your jazz bass FWIW, most active basses use a passive pup paired with a preamp....yours is probably this way to MEC (Gold Colored) pups are active and are paired with a preamp that is designed for use with active pick ups only

I love the contoured body's, I even modified a slab bodied RAY 34CA for Belly and Forearm relief, but I wouldn't mod a classic. You might already know this, but the newer EB's are available now with contoured bodies.

Guy's, I have a side project were the drummer wants to do some original material that sounds like Royal Blood. He even wants to hit the studio in a few weeks......I'm really stoked on that!! What effects do you guys suggest to get that Mike Kerr sound??

Somebody might be able to explain it better. But it's a very bright sound, great for cutting through the mix in a band setting. But all Stingrays are like that. That's what makes them stand out. That big humbucker is a big part of it. For instance, if you was to take a passive p bass and compare, you'll notice the difference But with any bass, use your eq to get the sound you want. Maybe even try flats Listen to Louis Johnson.....better yet listen to Stomp by Brothers Johnson and that will give you a good idea of the sound
