The Sabre used to be mine between 1987 and 1998. I bought it used from Music Ground in York and eventually part exchanged it for a JayDee Calibas. The 2 necks were made in 1983. I've no idea of the John Deacon connection but he could easily have owned it in the 28 years since I sold it 😁

As you say, the date of the masts are from the year 83 to 88, 5 have passed since you bought it. The rest of the components are from the year 79. It sounds incredible
