Ages ago I downloaded a shedload of reggae and dub, as recommended by a motley selection of vagabonds and reprobates, I mean like half an iPod's worth. I had little knowledge of the wider world of this music other than the bands I listened to in my punk youth, Linton Kwesi Johnson, Dillinger, Steel Pulse, Bob Marley. So, gradually, as I have it on random most of the time, various tracks come on, some of which I like (which I post on here), some not (which I don't), I am running out of artists I like! Anyway, here we are on Pg. 149 of one of the best threads on BC (cheers @Reggaebass) and it really is time to use it as a resource to get more reggae and dub to fill up the other half of the iPod.

Hi this looks really nice, however I don't understand the part of the advert where you say "It's a great bass but I don't need two!"
I think the clue is in the opening line...
I picked up a couple of these Jazz basses locally
He's got two.
Edit: This post was brought to you by the word Irony and the number 2.

I understand that if @Frank Blank does not attend this year’s bash, the world will end at midnight October 41st.
A similar rumour (If @Frank Blank did not attend last year's Bash, the 08:17 53 - Oxford Bus Station (Gloucester Road) to Bicester bus would be 5 minutes late) was doing the rounds last year. I didn't attend the Bash and the yet aforementioned bus was on time. I think the world is safe. Mind you, from Oct. 42nd onwards is anyone's guess.
In summary, Nostradamocles, or whatever his name was, can do one.

I agree with @warwickhunt. The Fishman Platinum Pro is a lovely bit of kit. Obviously if you have a bigger budget I would suggest any of the Grace Designs options, well, the Alix or Felix. They will last you forever and there's nothing better imho.

Benji from Skindred is a good laugh. Real nice guy.
He really is a top man. I shared the bill with Dub War a couple of times and on both occasions Benji wore one of our beanies, well chuffed.

No, this time you can punch someone AND leave after 30 minutes.
I could just drink some punch, pass out and leave a week later?- 1

Right. I am definitely attending this one, hopefully, unlike 2 years ago, I won't have to leave after 30 minutes rather than punching someone!

For me it's the sound of my bass but louder...
For me too. The only thing in forty years that got me that was an FRFR speaker, which is why I stopped using a trad amp/cab rig from that day onward.- 1

I was in a band who were never going to make it, granted we were just ahead of the rise of Groove Metal but I wasn't interested in doing anything other than making the music I wanted to make but other members on the band thought we could/should be making it. We had a great rhythm guitarist who was in another band and his commitments very occasionally clashed with ours. The rest of the band wanted to throw him out because his first commitment was to his first band, obviously! I stayed out of it, I thought it was ridiculous to throw him out when a) we could do gigs with just one guitarist, b) it seemed, to me, quite obvious, we were going to be an originals band that played to decent crowds around our county. We did have some label interest but, again, we could have continued with him as an as and when member. Unfortunately egos prevailed and he was kicked out. A fortnight later he was on Top of the Pops with a top ten single. The rest of the band were jealous and dissing him, I thought it was great! It's the one and only time I've ever put up with such nonsense, I wish I'd walked when they chucked him out and I feel bad for sitting on the sidelines but it's hard to tell people they are living in cloud cuckoo land thinking the band is going to be a success.
