  5. This is my brand new PRS SE Kestrel Bass. Thru neck, Hipshot hardware, fit and finish impeccable. See here: https://www.prsguitars.com/index.php/electrics/se/se_kestrel_2018 This is what it sounds like: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yUXhAN_mQAU I'm letting a couple of my basses go as I have my eye on a big ticket item. This bass is brand new, unplayed. Plugged it in just to check function. I've installed black Schaller straplock studs, I'll include the original buttons and the original black pickguard. The new tortoise/pearl pickguard cost me £79.00 to have custom made, and I think it looks great. It comes with the brilliant PRS padded gig bag. The bass will be securely packed inside the padded gig bag and the bag will be inside a padded cardboard carton. Price includes Parcelforce shipping to Mainland UK. Questions: 0208 575 755 or email [email protected] Thanks for looking, Karl
  6. I got myself a lovely new PRS SE Kestrel bass in 3TS. This is a great bass, by the way. Everything you love about a Fender Jazz, but with PRS style, balance and coomfort. Fit and finish amazing. I'm having a brown pearl tortoiseshell scratchplate made, and fancy some amber 'speed' knobs for it. I don't know what shaft size/fitting to go for. Does anyone know the correct ones to fit the PRS SE Korean made pot shafts? Many thanks for any help. Karl

  10. Lovely to see this bass again. I built it. I sold it to Wunjo's who said it went right away to a new home. The neck does have a trussrod, and the body is one piece French Alder. Very light and resonant. The scratchplate is made from a special imported material. I haven't seen any more of it. The control cavity cover is hand made from 2mm brass sheet and then patinated to give the dark brown colour. The body finish is very thin, very hard melamine lacquer. Somebody should jump on this. It cost more than the asking price to build. Karl

  14. Pink's just a colour. Up until the Victorian era the word 'Girl' applied to both male and female children, blue was a female child's colour and pink was a boy's. Karl

  16. Watch out when using Tru-Oil. If you apply with rags or paper towels, make sure you spread them out flat to dry after you apply the finish. It's a pre-catalyzed formula which will cure once exposed to oxygen. If rags or paper towels soaked in it stay crumpled up after use, the heat generated when it cures can cause them to catch fire.
