  1. Bought this about 10 years ago off Steve Askew who was the guitarist in Kajagoogoo (wooooooh), who used it in his studio in Leighton Buzzard. I've gigged it about half a dozen times and my son's used it for about 20 gigs with Luton's heroes 'Bowfinger.' He's now bought an Ampeg rig which I'll borrow if I ever start up again, so the Peavey's got to go. In generally very good condition, never been abused, odd nick here and there but structurally very sound and solid indeed. Has steel corner protectors all round, the top four having recently been painted silver/chrome as the original black paint was flaking. Steve 07500 014390 / [email protected]
  2. I've owned this for 15 years or so, buying it for it's 'cooool' factor but have never actually gigged it, prefering my Traynor and 8x10 or Peavey 1x15 for compactness so it's gotta go! (Been in the hallway for far too long and the wife's put her foot down with a firm hand)!!! The guy I bought it off said that he'd bought it brand new in the 60's and had hardly used it either - true or not, I don't know. However, it plays fine (I plug it in and try it about every 2 years at home practices) and it doesn't buzz or fart. I use it with my Traynor or one of my HH VS bassamp's and it sound lovely (always a subjective matter I know, but it sounds good to me)! Ther are a couple of tears on the fabric front which have been repaired with some sort of black cloth and the black cab covering bears a bit of staining and a few tears. By and large though, it's in sound structural condition. Mounted on castors (original?) and with recessed side handles it's fairly easy to transport. You're welcome to come look and try (I live 2 miles off the M1, junc 12 - just north of Luton). Bring your own guitar/amp if you want or use one of mine or my son's bass's/amps (good stuff). There's a re-covered '63 one of these on ebay at the moment for £100.00, it may go for much more, you never know. I guess I'd like to see £100.00 for this one too, but ring/mail me with offers if you're interested. All offers considered - it's gotta go!!! I travel regularly to the London area; M4 out towards Reading/Basingstoke; Leicestershire; Northants; Cambridge so I could probably drop it off to you if required if you're in these areas. Otherwise, could deliver elsewhere but at a cost, or you can always collect. Cheers, Steve 07500 014390 / [email protected]
