None at all.
It’s just another way for the world to collectively stick two fingers up to Putin.
Don't get me wrong, I love that everyone is getting behind them, I was just meaning that the voting is so politically biased.

Call me cynical but was there ever any doubt that Ukraine would win? I haven't heard any of the songs by the way.

Is there a rock/pop musician alive that hasn't uttered, at some point, a variation on the words "This is soooo Spinal Tap"?
Are there any bands out there who can't relate to more or less every calamity that befalls Spinal Tap at some point in their musical careers?

Wood finishes always do it for me.
Each to their own. That's my least favourite body colour.

There is also the scenario where you get together for a jam and after a while things start clicking and you think let's do a gig.

I love the album but then again I love everything they do. Can't wait to see them soon.

After a lengthy hiatus our band is thinking of starting up again. It's been a long time since we played in the local bars and I was wondering if any of you had suggestions as to which songs go down best these days.
Just for fun. Let's see what everyone comes up with.

In my case read popcorn as wine and dry roasted peanuts.😉

Joy of joys, I had an interview yesterday for a new job within the company. I got the job and it means I will now be working on a three weeks on three weeks off rota. Which means we can get the band back together. I am unsure of just how many gigs we will be able to procure but the fact that we can jam again fills me with happiness. 🤩

manager simply said we had played the wrong music and wouldn't be getting back in his pub!
That manager clearly wasn't listening to his punters.

or the last 16 years I've been on a four on four off system, two days, two nights, four off.
I used to do a 4/4 but it was 4 weeks on and 4 weeks off. It was perfect for gigging but unfortunately that came to an end.

I work ad hoc, which means I am at the end of the phone waiting on the call to go to work. It could be three weeks or six weeks and my last job was three days, I never know how long I will be away for or how long I will get off. It has ruined my gigging life as we can't even book a rehearsal never mind a gig as I don't know if I will be here. I hate it because music is my life.

In my experience it doesn't matter if you don't suit the style for a certain pub. If you are good enough you can play pretty much anything and punters will appreciate it. I have seen really heavy rock bands go down well in the same bar that a rockabilly band went down really well in. Likewise country bands.

We found that word of mouth saw us get a decent amount of gigs. We never had to chase them. I suppose playing in a smaller town word does get about if you are a decent enough act. We were doing it for so long that the gigs just kept coming. I know it can be hard when you are first trying to get a following. Maybe offer to do one gig for nothing or for a reduced rate. Pubs will be more likely to book you if they are getting you cheap. Make sure you only do the one right enough.

Indeed, and although I’ve not submitted any yet (as don’t have any) I’m only guilty of leather trousers.
I always wanted to be leather trousered but couldn't afford them. I thought about getting spandex trousers but couldn't find any. Thank Gawd!

About 9 years ago I guess my moves on stage at a particular gig didn't come off as planned. I saw a video clip and what I thought was cool actually looked like I was humping an invisible bear.😀

I'm intrigued as to why, if it was invisible, that you visualised of all things .........a bear!
