1. I'm really annoyed with Paul as he took my Modulus Flea Bass off me !!

Okay so he's a really nice bloke, gave me a lot of cash great comms and was really easy to deal with. (We met 16 hours after striking the deal and 20 hours after advertising the Bass)

While I'd unreservedly speak up for him and tell anyone he's a great no nonsense buyer... I'm still annoyed with him as he has my Flea Bass and I don't !!

Enjoy in Good Health Paul and good luck with the band !

    All the best

  2. Wow.... okay I went for a quick pub meal with the wife and PM's gone crazy......

    All up to date....

the sticker was removed during the 'photo-shoot' it was a pvc / vinyl type that didn't even leave any residue !!

Currently considering some attractive Bass plus cash deals and a couple of cash offers just below the asking price...

I'd be shocked if this lasted the night !!

  3. With a Genuine Ache in my heart I am offering up for sale a stunning example of a Modulus Flea Bass

Full 'Flea Spec' including the Lane Poor Pickup, OBP1 Pre-amp and Badass Bridge

The finish is a stunning Blue Sparkle (not the Blue Flake which is a more pale blue) the pictures simply don't do this bass justice it's the most stunning instrument in the flesh (wood)

These instruments are getting very difficult to find and although Modulus are back in production they are making only very small numbers and in this Spec we're talking £4000 + shipping & Duty !

Being a chap who doesn't do anything buy halves I sourced the bass for a couple of Dep gigs with a RHCP Tribute band and had it fitted with the Lane Poor and Badass as well as having a pro set up with Flea Signature GHS Bass Boomers (what else)

The action is quite ridiculous with just over 1mm at the 12th fret and of course it has the Flea Tone down perfect !

I've owned a good few Flea Basses having previously been in a RHCP Tribute a number of years ago and this is by far the pick of them all !

The bass has balls & bite like nothing else out there and bell like clarity.... The slapped open E is 'Gongtastic' and the D & G stay big big on the pops and don't suffer that hideous loss of volume relative to the E & A when playing slapped lines..... you know what I mean !!

I'll be really sad to see this one go..... but my dip gigs are over and I have too many other basses.

Trades ?? Well not really that interested in much to be honest and Cash is King.... MAY be tempted with a really nice stingray Natural / Maple or Black / Rosewood so long as it's valued sensibly in the deal !

    All the Best

  4. Hi Everyone,

With regret I find I must part with my beautiful, unmarked and utterly perfect KingBass 2
It's the full spec 16.5mm with front and side LEDS and all I can say is that it is totally as it left Rob & Dawn !

We all know these instruments don't come up very often and I understand Rob is pretty reluctant to make any more...

The bass was purchased recently on here from a chap who absolutely never used it !! It lived in it's case as a trophy bass, I've had the frets polished and professionally set up with a set of DR's and oh my does it sing !!

It's possibly the most accoutically resonant and harmonically alive basses I've ever played, but not in a way you're afraid to play it and dig in if you know what I mean.... really responsive and with the DR's it's got balls and bite and really does it all tonally. MK of course plays lighter gauge strings for a thinner tone but with the 45-105 DR's it's got some wallop with a tough of the EQ !!

Set's up a dream and the action is a smudge above 1mm !! at the 12th and it's clean as a whistle.... I'm blown away by the overall build quality of this bass.

Apologies for the 'not great' pic it's quite difficult to photograph indoors with the lights on ! Maybe I should have waited for natural light but I've uploaded these pics while i'm of a mind-set to sell !!

Buy it quickly before I change my mind !!

The Bass is located in the UK and of course i'd much rather meet and greet the new owner but international shipping is fine with me... of course the bass comes with the Hiscox Case as you'd expect.
I've priced the bass at £2500 and i'm really looking for a straight sale only.... I wouldn't dismiss a lower value PX if it was something interesting and realistically priced (and under a grand so there was min £1500 cash)

Reason for the sale is all my other basses are around 19mm spacing and I have comically large hands and the 16.5mm feels a little tight for me

Contact me on 07969 027813 or PM

If this had been 2 weeks ago I'd have snapped your hand off. I placed a Wanted ad for a Status Stingray neck or bass. I even thought about adding a description of a bass that looked very much like this one that was for sale last year. Hey ho, Status neck currently away being fitted to my black 3 band.

    it's all about timing isn't it !!

It should do. I think it was the one I bought from you :)
Indeed it was sir.... and thanks for setting up the deal !!

    I owe you one

Well look at that beauty, and being offered by a man who really knows his Stingrays and Fleas! I am SO tempted.

Have to say that the idea of an 'unplanned purchase of a blue sparkle Modulus Flea' made me smile, and felt strangely close to home!

Mark, I'd love that mate, but I'm building something similar at present, albeit something that will no doubt cost more but not be as good. Timing as ever! Good luck with the sale mate

Ha Ha.... can't turn down a flea bass these days !!

The Lane Poor is on order

Good luck with the project Chris

  8. With the exchange rate it's +£10k !! then you'd have Duty and shipping to pay on top of that !

The cocobola upgrade to a standard is crazy money and the stinger body shape is $800 in itself !!

I've been fortunate to have a number of Series and DLX Signatures and this Bass trumps them all for great time !!

Something about not having a rear hardwood facing that seems to open up the tone....

With the possible exception af an 83 Reissue VW Fodera (possible) this is the most alive and resonant instrument I've ever had in my grubby mits... it just radiates !!
