  1. Fender Crafted in Japan Precision.
If your looking for a spotless case queen then dont look here. This bass has a ton of genuine road worn Mojo.
It was originally Olympic White but its more yellow now.
It has been fitted with an Fender American Vintage Pickup.
    Reverse tuners
    Kiogon Wiring Loom.
It sounds exactly how you want a Precision to sound. The wiring loom and vintage pickup up give such a great range of Tones.
Slim glossed neck which is also quite shallow and the reason I am moving this on as I prefer the chunkier neck on the Vintera Precisions.
I have used this a lot and it never fails to get compliments and just sits great in the mix.

Serial Number indicates it was made in Japan in

    1993 -1994.
    The BAD part.
A previous owner has routed out a Humbucker size cavity in the body.
It may of contributed to making this a nice lightweight bass for a Precision.
Collection from Huyton Liverpool or possible meet up in the Northwest. Postage may be possible if I can source a suitable box for shipping.

  2. Price Drop to £500

Always Fancied a Jack Cassidy Bass, or a Flea Jazz Bass, possibly 1024x, or a USA Musicman SUB

Can add cash for the right deal.

Thining the Herd out continues. I bought this mostly for sentimental reasons as the BB1100s was the first quality bass I ever owned back in the 1980s.

Since then I have prefered passive instruments as I always fiddle constantly with the active electronics. Unfortunately I have continued this habit with this one.

It's in great condition for its age apart from a slightly bent G Tuner.

Nice low action, lovely neck. A vast array of useable tones from the active circuitry, or at the flick of a switch you play it in passive mode.

The bridge had been changed for a quality Badasss bridge when I got. Very impressed with the quality of it.

In great condiction for a vintage instrument.

Collection from Liverpool or meet up in the North West.

If I can source a suitable box then postage could be an option.

  3. Another Yamha up for sale as I attempt to thin the Herd out.
I took this in a trade only to discover it had many issues with the electronics.
I have replaced all the faulty components and set it up with a nice low action.
It comes with  D Tuner which could be very useful if you need to play lower than an E.
The one issue I haven't resolved is a split in the finish between the Volume and Tone pots. This doesn't effect the playability but feel it should be pointed out.
It plays great, sounds great and will make a great gigging  or backup bass.
Can be tried out in Huyton Liverpool.
Collection preferred but could meet up in the North West.
If I can source a suitable box postage could be an option

  4. Yamha BB 424.
I find myself with way too may Bass Guitars so it's time to thin the Herd out.
The 424 is a great  bass for any level of player. Superb pickups that with give a vast array of useable tones with one flick of the 3 way toggle switch. It also comes with Yamhas outstanding build quality
Guitar is in really good condition for its age.
Only issue I can find is a hair line crack in the paint finish on the back of the body.
I have tried to capture this in a photo.
Can be tried out in Huyton Liverpool.
Collection preferred or meet up in the North West.
If I can source a suitable  box postage will be an option

  5. Having owned all the models you mentioned, I found I preferred the BB414. Slightly slimmer neck. They all sound very similar, with no massive " wow that sounds much better " moment.

There all really good which ever one you decide on.

  6. Just done a trade deal with Steve. We met on a motorway service station, with Steve being kind enough do the Lions share of the travelling for the meet up.

Buy/Trade with Steve in confidence. Great communications throughout. Bass was exactly as described. Really pleasant guy too. Wish I would of had more time to chat.

  7. Quite fancy a Jack Cassidy bass or a Fender Rumble 500w combo if any one wants to take this in part exchange.

Would consider other 4 string basses too but nothing pointy. Happy to add money for the right deal.

    Mark Bass 800W 2 x 12 Bass cab.
Bought this a few months ago and two days later i bought a Bareface 2 x12 and as a result of this, the Mark Bass cab has never left the house or been gigged since I have had it.
First day I bought it I realises one of the Speakon sockets wasn't working.
    This has now been replaced.
If you looking for a lightweight 800W cab with a small foot print then this ticks all the boxes.
Collection from Huyton Liverpool or possible meet up within an hours drive.
Don't think postage is an option with this as I have no box to pack it in

Would consider other 4 strings in Part Exchange but nothing pointy. Happy to add money for the right deal.

Yamaha BB415 in the best colour metallic orange. Moving this on as I just don't need a 5 string in my current band.
    Brand new D'Addario strings.
    New Barrel jack.
In good condition, plays really well, has some great tones in. Not too heavy for a 5 string
Chip of paint missing from the back, near strap button.
Hair line crack in the paint finish by the 3 way selector switch.

Tiny little hair line crack in the back of the headstock  from the tuner mounting screws.
    Playability not effected at all.

Collection from Huyton Liverpool,  could meet up in the Northwest. Postage may be possible if I can locate a suitable box.

Are you getting another 734A or sticking with the 400s this time?

Think I will be sticking with the 400s. Love the neck on the 414. Also the simplicity of the passive instrument is better for me.

With the 734a I was constantly fiddling with the tone controls in between  songs. With the 414 I can just play the the thing and not be tempted to tweak anything mid song

When I was selling my 414 I put new strings on it and tweaked the set up. Gave it a quick test and it sounded brilliant. Unfortunately the new new owner was on his way round to collect it and it was too late to change my mind.

Few weeks later he had put it up for sale so I bought back again and it's been my first choice ever since.

Think the selector switch is key for me. 3 very usable tones at the flick of a switch and i do use all of them at a gig. I think my head was turned by a slimmer, racier model that is the precision.

I now see the beauty again in my fat derrière Yamaha's.

Am also very taken with the matching headstock on the 414 and 415

Just bought the orange 5 string from Curly Music. It's not in great condition. Barrel jack is faulty (as usual). G-string had been replaced with  a D string. Needs a really good clean up, new strings, new barrel jack and it should be good to go.

Curly Music gave me a pretty good discount off the price to reflect its current condition.

It's surprisingly light for a 5 string but most importantly it's metallic orange.

My Yamaha collection is on the rise again after I had previously sold my 5  Yamaha BB's as I fell out of love with shape of them and bought a few Fenders instead. Now have the

    BB 414, 424 and now 415.

The 414 gets used for every gig.
