  1. Outstanding beautiful very special LeFay Herr Schwarz Headless for sale.
Here in probably the noblest form: so Headless with Crazy Cherry Cap. Even more, I was allowed to choose the among many pieces, it was the absolutely most beautiful piece. So even and with a 3D depth ...
The cap is milled three-dimensionally from the solid, not bent or something. Very intricate!
Premium stainless steel fretting (meaning that the fret bars can't go all the way to the edge and stick out
Gechambered and extra light 3540g !!!! heavy.
    Turbo slots.
    Ebony fingerboard with 24 frets.
    Selected beautifully grained ash body.
Maple neck, built up with 5-strings.
Topdots: mother of Pearl, sidedots 3mm luminlay, so self-luminous.
4 single coil PU's, arranged like 2 humbuckers.
Extra special electronics with parametric mids (The controls are: top row: Vol - Blend - passive treble control, also in active mode - 1st switch neck-PU single or humbucker - 2nd switch active/passive, 2nd row: bass, treble, mid, midband)

Feel: the best I've ever had, subjectively better for me than the Fodera I had before.
Sound: wonderful, anything is possible with it!
Build team: the best, most creative and nicest team ever. With the greatest vertical range of manufacture on the entire bass market (they not only make their own PU's but also pot knobs, bridges and headless tuners themselves.

Built in 2020, have played the bass exactly 1x out of the house for a recording in the Corona era, see video link (the Bass came 1 day before shot ;-)):

With such an instrument probably not much more goes.

The first 9 photos I took with my phone, the last 3 photos I got from LeFay and they were on their homepage.

Personal pickup with test and shipping possible. For exact costs wherever please ask or visit DHL Homepage.

Private sale: no return and warranty.

  2. Hi,
it´s around a year ago when you make this outstanding comparison of the octave pedal range. And it´s around a year ago when you mentioned that a 3leaf mk III is on the way. Can you expand this comparison with your opinion to the new MK III version?
I´m also a huge fan of the OC-2. Had lot of octavers. But my 2 OC-2´s are still my favorites. Never had struggled with my active basses with them. The only thing i didn´t liked on them (and on a lot of Boss pedals i know) is, that they are not true bypass and the boss buffer affects the natural tone of my basses in (for my ears) in a not very pleasing way (imho!). I found one who modded it with true bypass. Love them still more and can use it now without any x-blender type pedals.
And also i love my COG 16. Such a great Pedal, especially live. The Filter is a great tool. Does anybody know something about Tom from COG-Effects? He did such outstanding Pedals. Also his Distortion/Fuzz Pedals are very cool. And unexpectedly and suddenly he stopped building and answering. But his page is still there.

  3. Hi,

    nice Bass.

    Please can you tell me:

Stringspacing at bridge ( please measure from mid B-String to mid G-String)

Is this really a 34 " scale lenght? MTD does mainly 35" scale.

Are examples to hear this bass available? For example youtube?

Year, this bass is built in?

    Why do you sell it?

    Thank you very much

    Best regards

    Uli

  4. Beautiful Ken Smith 5 string bass in the coveted BT or vintage shape.
Exceptionally beautiful Ebony top. Year of construction 1995, the golden period at Ken Smith.
The bass is exceptionally light for a Ken Smith with 4,4kg.
The bass was loved and played a lot, so traces of use are visible, but overall it is in excellent condition for its age.
The tuners were exchanged by the previous owner for the Gothoh Light-Tuners. Later Ken Smith used the same tuners as well. The originals are included.
5-piece body: Ebony Top, Mahagony Core and Walnut Back, each with one maple layer in between.
5-piece neck, 3 strips of maple with probably Morado or Pao-Ferro stripes. Fingerboard also probably Morado or Pao-Ferro, but I'm not sure about that.
Neck with graphite rods, this is recognizable by the G in the serial number.
Had several Smith basses, but this one has the most beautiful neck. Flatter than the one I was allowed to hold in my hands.
There is a Smith Teardrop case. This case was bought by the previous owner from the bay due to the completion. But the case is in a good condition, has obviously seen a lot of the world. The condition of the case does not correspond to the condition of the bass. But ultra cool, vintage and hardcore managed.
Antests possible near Ingolstadt. But beware: is addictive ... ;-))

No Trades. I need some Money, otherwise i would never sell this outstanding Bass.
