  1. Oh duh what a wally! Changed it now 🤣. I have so much MXR gear I may as well work for them!
  2. Selling my EHX Bass MicroSynth, this pedal is a tonne of fun, you can pretty much get any synth sound going if you have the patience to find it! £180 pick-up from Coventry CV6 or Royal Mail postage for a little extra. Cheers! Ken
  3. Nice little pedal if you just like layering a single loop with a one-step loop off switch! Used it for live performances but switching to the MXR Clone Looper so this one is surplus to requirements. Works well with updated software and microphone for the jam feature if you're feeling brave 😄 Pick-up from Coventry CV6 or delivery for around a fiver extra. Cheers!
  4. It's an extremely powerful and versatile bass, you're right it definitely compares well to the StingRay! Big fan of the MusicMan bass sound.
  5. @jrixn1 Hi mate, thanks for the contribution and you are quite right - I had totally forgotten since I bought it back in 2014, a quick search seems to suggest they are made in Romania and set up by Lawrence. I've amended it now to reflect.
  6. Selling my much loved Sterling Ray 35 to fund another bass purchase. In very good condition bar a few scratches here and there. Please see below for item spec - recently serviced and working perfectly. Flight case not included. RRP £800 Pick-up From Coventry CV6. Cheers. https://www.fairdealmusic.co.uk/products/sterling-by-music-man-stingray-5-black-roasted-maple-rosewood-used
  7. Selling my beautiful double bass bought brand new from LD Bass Place in London. Only one previous owner (me!). Selling to fund another purchase and I just don't use it enough. Comes with soft gig bag with handles worth £50 and pick-up attached to the bridge worth £50 although I can remove this if you would like. Both included in the price, plays beautifully and doesn't need setting up. Pick-up from Coventry CV6. Purchased new from Lawrence Dixon in London. See description below: "The 'LD Starter Bass' is made exclusively for Bass Place. It is a standard 3⁄4 size robust ply body with a tasteful matt varnish. Most importantly it has upgraded materials not usually found on an entry level bass: Ebony fingerboard, ebony tailpiece, ebony endpin, D’darrio strings, and the renowned Bass Place set up. It has an unbeatable value with exceptional quality and finish. Guildhall Junior Jazz section department recently chose this as their “house” bass.
  8. Selling this bad boy on as I’m not using it any more and probably won’t for the foreseeable future, so better that it goes to someone who will put it to some good use! it’s an amazing piece of equipment, capable of so much. Comes with the original box and instructions, you can pick it up from Coventry CV6 or I can post to you via Royal Mail for a small extra fee. Cheers!
  9. Pete bought my Fender Jazz Blacktop off me, everything quick and easy, cheers @funkle enjoy the bass mate!
  10. Hey y'all good people of basschat. Selling a few pedals that I love and have well used, but fancy a change of direction so moving them on to be loved by someone else 😄. Since the dreaded covid i've not used them much, so hopefully someone else can get some use out of them! None of them come with the original boxes unfortunately. MXR Bass DI+ - £100 *SOLD* (Lovely pedal, the distortion packs a real punch and a nice alternative to the SansAmp) Boss ODB-3 OverDrive - £35 *SOLD* (Had this years, some of the paintwork is chipped at the edges but still sounds great! Crunch!) MXR Bass Octave Deluxe - £75 *SOLD* Nice bit of growl from this bad boy! Sadly hardly had the chance to use it last few years. Couple marks off the paintwork otherwise looks great. TC Ditto Looper - £40 *SOLD* Great alternative to the Boss RC series, selling due to buying the Ditto V2. GarageTone Axle Grease Delay - £30 *SOLD* Not specifically a bass pedal this one, bought a few years ago for a project and criminally under-used since. See below for the demo. Psychedelic vibes! Does sounds great on bass too. Collection or postage from Coventry CV1. Cheers!
  11. Sadly needing to sell this to finance a loop pedal buy, for a guitar gig (yuck!). I've criminally under-used this, but it's a great bit of kit and really packs a punch! Excellent condition, one tiny scratch on the side aside. Pricing lowish to move it on quickly. Collection or postage, think it's about a fiver if you want it posted. Cheers!
  12. @PaulThePlug hah hah an instant return on my £20! 🥳💷
  13. Selling this very sturdy bass, had it a long while now so it's well used, but as I'm sadly playing more guitar at the moment, I'm reluctantly selling to finance a new buy. Two humbucker p pickups, alder body, rosewood fretboard and j style dials for each pickup plus master tone config dial. It's been well used so there's a few marks on the back and around the body, so priced accordingly. There's currently a hipshot on it, but I can swap it out for the normal tuning peg if you like. It's included anyway if you want to fix it yourself. I can also remove the plectrum holder if needed. Pickup from Coventry CV1. Cheers! KJ
  14. All fixed! Was just as simple as replacing the battery clip and re-soldering the wires as John mentioned. Technician did it same day for a tenner. Result!
  15. I was just thinking that! It would be an absolute nightmare to replace that from abroad, even though there's only a few days until I leave it's better than nothing! Glad to know it might be an easy fix for the clip, hopefully they can sort it locally and not have to hot foot it up to London 😄. I can never seem to get the damned battery out properly. Thanks John!
  16. Dear all, Wonder if anyone could help with this! Due to head abroad for a job in a few days and, perfectly timed, my only useable professional bass had decided to die on me 🙄 .. serves me right for only having one good one! Attempted to change the 9v battery in my MusicMan Sterling Ray active bass and after wrestling with the clip a while during the change, and finally prising the old battery off, after inserting the new one I'm getting whistling, a faulty connection which cuts out and sometimes nothing at all. Wonder if I've managed to somehow managed to break the battery clip during all the twisting.. anyone else had a similar issue and know if it's an easy fix? Contacted the local repair guy who's gonna have a look at it tomorrow but really bricking it as leaving Thursday night! Timing really is everything ha.
  17. Thanks for the deluxe big muff (pedal) Colin! Arrived super quickly, well pleased. Easy dealings 😊.
  18. That would be when my fingers start to 'stick' to the strings around the pickup area 😂. Way back when, before corona when I played function music every day, a set of nickelwounds would last about 3 months of nightly use before playing anything quickly is basically impossible.. and that was with daily string cleaning!! When I have the money I try and change every month.
  19. Thank you both for your help! I'll try those out, the notepad option sounds like a good idea as it doesn't require much editing. I wonder if Musescore is worth looking into also, as it's free.
  20. Evening all! Been a little while since my last post. Like a lot of you I've been looking for ways to fill the void in the last year, so I've been uploading bass covers of new songs to YouTube, and had a lot of people asking if I have tabs for the bass lines. Has anyone had experience in creating and posting tabs on their YouTube channel? I looked into trying to make the tab a part of the video but it seemed to require a level of editing way beyond my simple video editing 'skills' 😂. I can also see that some people create PDF's of tabs and upload them to Google drive and share the link but I've no idea what program they're using. Many thanks in advance! KJ
  21. Bought a Chorus pedal off Ben which he kindly sent the same day as I needed it in a hurry. Was quick and easy and arrived very securely packaged! Pleasure doing business, cheers!
  22. Bought an MXR octave pedal from James and everything was quick and easy, it arrived promptly and communication was great. Deal with confidence. Cheers James!
