1. Two part delivery, the cheap guitar arrived, the expensive one is still missing. The lad at parcelforce customer services was very helpful and is investigating. Rang the seller and he assures me it's gone off, two boxes both on the same tracking number.
I'm on pins 😥

2. To be fair I didn't choose the courier, the seller did. It's being sent to a fairly prominent building, a large building in a small town.
I've been told if was a technical error, that said it doesn't half out the shits up you when you read that.
Hopefully it should arrive today... again I didn't choose parcelforce, and I certainly wouldn't from previous experiences.
Fingers crossed it'll be here soon

3. Evening,
Just wondering if anyone on the forum has had this problem arise with Parcelforce?

"There is a problem with the delivery of your parcel. Please check the tracking details below and our enhanced help for additional information on the status of your parcel and what to do next.

Tracking event Address problem (address insufficient)"

I've got a rare vintage guitar in the post and the only conclusion I can come to is the label got damaged or fell off. I hope this doesn't mean it's going to get "lost" aka stolen

Absolutely bricking it right now, I've been hunting down this dream guitar for about 15 years 😐

4. Pretty sweet bass in fairness - I remember seeing the name Deadlight from eBay many years ago, some guy in Croydon who used to specialize in airbrush and carving who made some pretty outlandish and unique instruments. This one is pretty tame for Deadlight and very much my taste. I have to admit I was drawn to it because it's reminiscent of the Spector Gene Simmons had in the mid 70's. Sounds like a Stingray, not too bothered about the lack of tone control cause I like an angry sounding bass haha

5. Hi,

Recently bought this stunner made by Deadlight designs, I have no idea about it's background other than the build quality is brilliant. Anyone able to shed any light on it?
It's a bolt on, 3 way switch, volume and hipshot extender. Not sure of body wood but it's solid and I think one piece

Hope I've posted this in the right place.

I'm not a Manics fan, but have always loved 'The Holy Bible'. I think it sounds like the work of another band!

What I'd love to know is what bass(es?) Nicky Wire used on the recording?

I've always assumed it was a Ric. But I heard some live stuff from Summer '94, which sounded fairly similar, and he was using a P to my surprise!

He used a Jazz at the time - I think - as well.

So any ideas on what he played on this magnificent record?

Only just noticed this thread. Manics are my favourite band and biggest influence, I've met them on numerous ocassions both as a fan and professionally.
As far as I know after I asked Wire a few questions and listening to it I'd say a P bass. I know that he uses Ampeg amplifiers exclusively and always has done.

7.
Gherson for parts but repairs needed sound minor. I own one of these. It's absolutely awesome, nicer than any Rickenfaker I've played. The front pickup is quiet and I've replaced mine but other than that mines a twin truss rod, thru neck tone machine.

Gherson
I've been looking for a nice faker to use as a base for a Lemmy Rickenbastard replica... that literally just needs a few minor mods and it'll look as near as.
