  1. Does anyone know what years the BB-12000 non-export models are from? I acquired a natural one but Yamaha serials always confuse me
  2. I own a fretless Hamer, not sure which model
  3. Does anyone know what the windings at the end look like on these strings? I know the nickelwounds are specifically catered to Fender style 4-in-a-row headstocks with the way the silk wrappings extend. Is it the same for these strings?
  4. Put .100 GHS Boomers on the BB, stepped down from .110 flatwounds.
  5. The truss rod had been tightened too much and was digging a hole in the wood, almost to the point of coming out the other side. Something to do with the truss rod channel only reaching up to the third fret, and not all the way up iirc.
  6. I've returned it to the original owner, the neck was beyond repair. Shame, because it is one of the best basses i've ever played.
  7. https://www.manne.com/en/gallery/multi-bass-6-satin-special/ Found this too, a 31" Manne bass.
  8. A very beautiful bass, i'd love to have a 4 string Xotic P next to my 5 string XJ.
  9. A Maruscyczk Cazpar is in your price range, and can be configured as a 6 string shortscale.
  10. Wrong as I may be, I did answer the question correctly.
  11. Looks like there's a lot of reference pictures of fake pickups floating around then, with wires like this. Thanks for your passive agressive snarky comments, really lightening up the mood here. (atleast i'm not the one suggesting there's more then a positive and a ground coming off the battery)
  12. Those aren't coming from the battery, but from the output jack. Here's a picture of a MEC 3 band preamp like in the Corvette above: Colors are different, but thats a moot point. MEC active pickups only have two cables, a + and a - .
  13. You can have an active preamp with passive pickups, so this comment holds no ground. Ontopic: Gold logo MEC pickups = Active. Silver logo MEC Pickups = Passive MEC Dynamic Correction = Passive The MEC Single coils in the starbass and such are an exception to the rule, but those are passive aswell.
  14. Changed from 0.95 Optima Gold strings to .110 Rotosound flats. Completely new bass;
  15. "Vintage caramelized canadian hard rock maple" Fake roasted maple, lovely!
  16. A few pics of a few of my Warwick's
  17. Dreaming of a red and gold BB2000....
  18. In my experience all BB424's are like that, great basses.
  19. The J pickup on my BB100S with flatwound strings sounds like a dream
  20. Oh yeah, it's all natural I think. The big green patch in the back is where tape used to be, to protect it from buckle rash. Clearly didnt work Anyone notice the hole in the pickup yet?
  21. Picked up a reasonably used F-bass today, the previous owner played in a lot of bands and used the bass extensively... Plays and sounds like a dream still, even with the pickup covers completely worn down The previous owner sent me a picture of what it used to look like in 2006, crazy how it was completely green all the way through.
  22. He This is a 2019-ish group photo. Ibanez CTB-3NT - SR1000 - EDA905 - 2365B -RS824 - SR1200 - RB808. I've since sold the CTB, EDA , but i've added the SR1306 and a lovely SB900. The RB808 has a broken switch, and only produces sound in one position...
  23. I have NEVER heard of that one, cheers man. I must admit I was only checking the USA catalogs, and it wasn't in there. Here's my SR1306PD and SR886BK (sold the latter):
