    Where are you located? What would you say the neck profile is on this one? I hear the 90s necks were thin but then went "cricket bat" shaped around 2000.

    I purchased Dave's 5-string Letts bass and he sent it to me in great packaging - could've shipped bone china without breaking! Also very helpful in arranging shipping to outermost reaches of Scotland and making sure insurance was in place.

    Hi, I have a 1996 5-string Corvette. It is amazing to play, but I have always struggled with a noisy output. Local repair shops say nothing is wrong with shielding, wiring etc, but recording engineers always complain when I take it into studio. The bass has passive MEC pickups and preamp. The question is: would I get rid of the noise by replacing the preamp, the pickups or both with active versions? I've got an extra set of active pups I bought off ebay, but I'm wondering whether to go ahead with an active preamps - either MEC, Bartolini or Aguilar. Or should I forget working on the guitar I've got and get a different one? Any thoughts? Thanks.

    Hi I'm interested in this bass. Can I just ask- is the body Bubinga? Are the electronics active? Forgive me if these are silly questions, just not sure about the spec on that age of Thumb. Thanks.
