Cheers guys, had the lid off and nothing to see tbh....cleaned the jack sockets on the back with switch cleaner....if no better I think I will cut my losses and buy a new amp...
-
Played last night and my LM2 started loosing power....lost half the volume and just sounded weird, like an oscillating type sound....using 2 vanderkley 112s...any ideas would be appreciated.
-
Just met up with John and bought his vanderkley cabs...very easy transaction and couldn't wish to meet a nicer chap...thoroughly recommend basschater.....cheers John.
-
Whoops!!...didn't see that, in that case, spend more.

I would go straight for the 800 rumble and know you always have plenty of headroom.

I use one of these!....really good cab and very well built.....12mm quality plywood ( well braced )....faital-pro cast frame neo drivers ....47 lbs in weight and wheels....great price as well!....oh, and loud as ####

Good call, at least you will have decent horsepower should you want to do proper gigs.....i know it will be slightly bigger than the crop of 200 watt micros but still fairly small and usable...i wouldn't waste my money on the 200 watt amps

If it was me, and it isn't i would buy a 500 watt head.... markbass LM3 or similar....i used one with the trace elliot elf 110 with great results.

Warwickhunt is the man to ask.

Cheers, mine is a 2003 model.... will try the switch cleaning method....bridge position and middle position seem ok but nearest the neck cuts out while wiggling the toggle.
-
Hi folks, i possibly need to replace the switch (will try switch cleaner first).....but failing that, i wondered, is there a uk made version that would work......£25 plus duty and shipping would work out on the pricey side.
-
Lovely that is!......can i ask the weight please?
-
Very much like the look of these!......whats it like weight wise?

Up for sale is my Dragonfly FAT-J5 , this is a super jazz in the truest sense of the word, the build quality and attention to detail is outstanding....The only reason for sale is an itch in the form of a Musicman Stingray 5h that must be scratched !....the bass is in lovely condition bar a couple of small marks....bass plays and sounds wonderful!.....specs are as follows
Body- 2 piece alder
Neck- 5 piece maple/ walnut ( maple quarter sawn )...15.75 radius 34 inch scale along with stainless steel frets which adorn a flamed maple fingerboard.
Hardware- GOTOH....404-5 bridge and GB30 resolite tuners (nickel)
Preamp- DFBP-3.....looks complicated but is a doddle to use.
Included is a Dragonfly semi-rigid gig bag which is very good quality...
pickups-dfsb-5 with custom walnut covers and flush pole pieces.
Looking at the bass, the attention to detail is amazing, little things like the forearm notches on the body, the maple cap on the headstock, the shape of the rear control cavity cutout, bone nut etc...Weight is 4.1 kgs
Will include uk shipping in with price although this will be at the buyers own risk....will be very well packed though!.....failing this, you could always organise your own courier.
There is a video on youtube of this very bass.

Very same as mine!....year and finish, bought by me new for, if memory serves £360.....lovely neck profile compared to later Rays and at 4.2 kgs not a bad weight...

Well said John, and credit to the seller for being honest.

A big nod must go to the Peavey Databass combo... very compact, 450 watt digital power amp with processor controlled low end along with DDT compression going through a 15 black widow speaker....blew your socks off!!!...all this 25 years ago...how ahead of the time were they!

From memory, that cab is pretty efficient so even a 200 watt amp would have good results, I would still go for 300 and above as you may want to change/upgrade your current cab.

The amp seems to work OK, have left the patch lead in....have since bought a LM3....have a gig on Friday night so will try the LM2 at volume and see what happens...fingers crossed.
