  2. Hi fellow Low Enders ! I'm wondering if any of you chaps would like to trade your Aguilar DB680 for my SVT-2Pro ? I have done extensive work to the SVT - Recapped with 105 deg C high quality capacitors through the HT section, tube amp doctor caps / audio grade Panasonic caps in signal path, Replaced all crappy plastic valve sockets ( these always go capacitive) for high quality ceramic and gold types in all pre, driver and output stage positions. Replaced the standby relay for new, ( even when the relay works, after time the contact oxidise and cause all sorts of problems), Cleaned all switches, faders, pots and sockets, And a full new set of valves from Derek at Watford Valves. Biased up perfectly. I'll upload the pics so you can see for yourselves ! Best, Steve.
  3. Found it. Bias pot 1 has a hairline crack where the PCB legs meet the pot. The magic chopstick method works once again.
  4. I've got exactly the same issue with mine. Re-capped with long life high temp electrolytics, whole new set of valves too. The problem is in the driver / power amp stage ( narrowed down with the ol' send/rtn trick) Anyone else here with the same problem ?
  5. Hi Rageingtelephone, Did you ever get to the bottom of this ? Steve

  20. Hi, I was after a trade orginally, have had a few offers but nothing finalised yet. The tens, as far as I'm aware are fine. I replaced two of them about three years ago. The cab has been out of its flightcase about two years ( Was a bit of a bitch when trying to get into a Fiesta !), there is some wear to the ozite on the front of the cab. Couldnt tell you about the Horn, as I always used it with it fully attenuated. Steve
  21. Reserved.. Bramley, £350, but currently trying to sort out a deal for a big ben.
