  1. I am selling my beloved Ashdown ABM 400RC (made in the UK) with Swan Hard Flight Case and Ampeg SVT-HLF 4x10 500w Cab with cover. Also included is all leads and spares. The head has been with me since new & cab second hand, both have been gigged but very well looked after. The case/covers have marks on them but the equipment themselves do not. The rig together has great punchy high ends and booming low end. I am only selling because I am downsizing my gear as I don't gig any more and need the space. I am intending to replace it with a combi bass amp down the line. Happy to split them if needed. Head: £425 Cab: £350 £725 (open to sensible offers) all in. Collection only. Cash on collection or paypal before is fine. I'd happily discuss trades + cash for a reasonable Combi Amp too. Any questions please ask away. Happy to provide more pictures upon request. ITEM IS NOW ON EBAY
  2. For Sale is my Epiphone Thunderbird Bass in Gothic edition. Included in the whole sale is the Rockbag softcase by Warwick, strap and strap locks. The bass has only been gigged 3-5 times in its years. The case is marked but is in generally good condition. Do ask for more pictures and I can send some over. Downsizing all my gear over time due to not gigging much anymore. Item is located in Witney, Oxfordshire. Pick-up only. If you want to test it with your own gear then do let me know.
  3. What version is it? Does it not look like my one which I got 2 weeks ago. I think the rack ears can be removed so Ashdown might send you them?
  4. I have the ABM NEO RC, I haven't played a Rootmaster yet so can't comment too much on how it sounds but judging from my experience of the MAG's previously and the demo videos I have seen or the Rootmaster the ABM is more defined in it's sound. Also the drive on the ABM is taken care of through a 12AX7 tube which does give it more grunt I think. Also there is more you can do with the EQ than the RM. The biggest thing with the ABM NEO RC is the fact it is made in their custom shop in the UK, it took 4 weeks to arrive. Mine is hand built and came with a certificate by the guy who built it. Anyway for the price bracket the Rootmaster is fantastic, I haven't heard anything like it for £400. If it were me though I would save the extra and go for the ABM. Hope that helps.
  5. Id second the above post. Get it serviced through Ashdown
  6. You are quite welcome. Those amps were hand wired so that might be name of the guy who put yours together. Where as now they are essentially mass produced so the quality of workmanship may be different. Anyway all the best with the sale and glad I could help.
  7. Yours is a first generation amp and I am told that not very many of these were made before they launched the EVO II ABM's. As a result of the low amount of 1st gen heads made the Founder and Head of Ashdown would sign the amps off inside somewhere personally. Thus making your amp quite rare.
  8. I was chatting to a guy in my local music store today and you might want to check the inside of the amp to see if the head of Ashdown has signed it. If so it might be worth hanging on to.

  10. Having owned the ABM 4X10 it provided good bottom end but struggled with the mids. It was however much better sounding than the MAG equivalent. If you are going brand new for an ABM then I would suggest looking at the forsale section on here. You can get much more cab for your cash. What head are you running with it?

    Hello!

Hi I am Matt, I have been posting on here on and off for about a year but never actually introduced myself! Playing wise I have been playing 6-7 years and have been in a couple of bands, one was a punk band the other Hard Rock. I would claim to be among the most broken bass players going, I have twice broken my right hand and several fingers which resulted in having some nice metal inserted to help things out. I am slowly getting back to playing bass with fingers rather than a pick. I own a lovely Ibanez SR900 bass which I have had since day one. It has done every gig I have ever played. Amp wise I run an Ampeg SVT3 and an HLF410. So anyway hello everyone!
  12. Hello, I was lucky enough to have a play of one of these last night, with a matching orange cab. I loved the sound I got from it. playing in a hard rock band I need some grit in my tone and this has it in abundance. Has anyone on here tried one of these through an Amped SVT 410HLF or various other cabs? What are your experiences?
  13. I second the above post, this amp is something else. I played through one this weekend and I loved it. Good luck with the sale
  14. Sold the mxr blowtorch to jack. Pleasure to do business with Matt
  15. Bought a lovely demon king pedal. Arrived swiftly as advertised and a pleasure to do business with
  16. Hey Guys, I am looking to sell my 2 month old SVT3, I still have the receip These things retail for anything from £850-£1000t. Basically I bought it to replace my Ashdown and while I like the amp I am not in love with the sound, I felt my Ashdown suited me better. Anyway it has been gigged once and used at practice a couple of times and I have the feet plus screws still. It has always been housed in a flightcase, I am happy to sell in case or without if you prefer. The only thing with the case is the guy made the doors the wrong way around so the handle sits at the back rather than the front. I am looking for £500 ONO or £450 without the case. In terms of delivery I would rather the person collected but that is negotiable. My job requires me travelling a lot so I may not be around etc. It needs to go to a home where it will be used and appreciated much more than I can. Picture is below and I will take more soon. Any questions please ask me.
  17. Hello, I am selling a faulty MXR Bass Blowtorch. For some reason it will not run off of anything other than a mains power source and even then it tends to switch itself off. It has been gigged a few times but nothing major, there are a few marks on it. Box is with it too. Having been rather impulsive (but sod it!) I have bought a nice demon king pedal from a fellow seller and even if I fixed the pedal would have no use for it. £30 posted. Questions welcome!
  18. These things are awesome! Plus a huge bargain here! 1000w of pure power! If I had the cab to support it id sell my head for this! Good luck with the sale mate.
  19. Hi, is this still for sale? Would you accept payment via paypal for the pedal if I wanted to buy it? Thanks
  20. That Demon King sound massive! What a pedal! It is between that and the BB Xotic pedal
  21. I play in a hard rock band and sometimes in a punk band (when I say sometimes I mean once a year.) Music for my current band is on www.soundcloud.com/latenightenvy
