1. An hour left and it's currently going to sell for £200!
2. The head is gone! Just the cab left peoples, RS210c, lovely condition, £200. Ebay link below! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/230955186534?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1586.l2649
3. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/230949129683?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1586.l2649 It'll be sold by 19:45 tonight, last orders please!!
4. There is a bid on the eBay auction, so it's about to sell! I'll miss this head hugely but needs must and all that
5. I've now split the rig, the head is on ebay for £500 here: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/230949129683?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1586.l2649 Cheers, Paul
6. Ridiculously shed-hot bassist! Also that drummer is a bassists dream, metronomic or what?! What a pleasure to watch!
7. I love the basslines on Emergency on Planet Earth, that's one album that really stole my attention in my younger days and influenced my playing hugely. SZ was 19 when he recorded that. NINETEEN! I was barely finished bunnyhopping my bmx at 19. Actually that's not true, I was a firefighter. But anyway... Sorry to be potentially controversial and miss the point of this thread cataclysmically but... So much of what you hear comes from your fingers, not your gear. It's the age old cliche I know! If you're a good funk player you can be funky as hell on anything. If you're a good metal player you can be utterly filthy hard and heavy on anything. Obviously buying the right gear to achieve the ballpark tone/style in the first place is what's being discussed here so I'll shut up now and go stare at my 1996 Corvette and pretend I'm a young Stuart Zender, about to become one of the worlds most admired funk bassists and pull an All-Saint while I'm there. (And yes I love my bass a bit too much)
8. Another Warwick Rockbag recommendation here, I've gigged the hell out of mine over the last 5 years or so and it's kept my Corvette Std very safe indeed. They do have a metal hanging hook too Just noticed you've already made your choice
9. This! http://basschat.co.uk/topic/200960-tc-electronic-staccato-450-and-rs210c-l800/ Seriously though there are too many decent combos around - I reckon you should get yourself to your local bass warehouse and spend all day just having a play (with your bass... I'm not advising some kind of public nuisance sex act in a guitar shop) until you find the brand/combo for you. It's all hugely subjective! Unless of course you buy an amp like mine which is incredibly versatile
10. Never played a fiver in all my years. Don't really need it in my line of work but I'd love to have a play one day. Stupidly I find the prospect a bit daunting. Familiarity is the key I guess!
11. Yes yes Living Color and early Chilis too for me!
12. Just in reply to a couple of questions I've had... Yes, this is the Staccato '51 Rocco Prestia (Tower of Power) signature head and is utterly mint and beautiful to play through! Yes it comes with it's padded gigbag (always transported in this, hence it's absolutely minty aquafresh mint in every way). Yes, it's only ever been used with either one or usually both of my RS series TC cabs (I've just sold my RS212 to this chap http://basschat.co.u...447-lee-carter/ a fellow local bassist and TC freak) and so now I'm down to the head and the RS210c, the cab with the sweet little cubby hole for the head to sit in as seen here: http://www.tcelectro...t-in-rs210c.png <---- That's a BIG image, took a sec to load on my cranky broadband out here int' sticks I'm hoping to sell them both together, but by all means get in touch if you're interested in either bit individually and are willing to be sensible with your offer. I'm in no particular hurry to sell and I am willing to discuss postage on the amp, probably not the cab. Maybe you can convince me. Cheers guys and stay funky, Paul
13. Hi Geoff, This add is for both, the Rs210c cab and the mint Staccato '51 head. Apologies for any confusion, Paul
14. An absolute piece of cake, it's designed to be transported seperately so it'll just slide right out. Paul
15. Just to specify - I'm not looking to trade against anything. Unless you can fully service my car and replace it's head gaskets and clutch whilst you're there! Oh, there's the reason for selling too I'm not flexible on the price, this combo is still selling for £1325 on GAK - £1520 if bought individually and these items have been immensely well looked after, the head is totally mint having cost me a grand and been impeccably well looked after Someone will save themselves £500+ and gain a stonking little portable rig! I'm happy for you to try before you buy of course. Cheers, Paul
