  1. Hi guys. Maybe I'm a little off-topic since I'm no Fender guy and of course, I'm not an expert in the matter, but what makes me think that there's a difference indeed between regurlar/vintage vs high mass bridges is that great luthiers (Tobias, Fodera, Furlanetto, Smith...) they all choose to install any type of high mass bridges on their axes, and I don't believe it to be just for aesthetic reasons. I guess high mass bridges transfer the vibration of the strings in a way that makes the body to resonate more than regular bridges. But I'm just guessing...
  2. Yeah, I agree, the front face is not the most beautiful on the MB line of head amps. But I'm sure it's gonna sound beautiful anyway...
  3. Knowing what the master AG likes as he repeats on several YouTube videos, his favorite high freq is 6kHZ. I'd be really surprised if the freq on this amp is 3.8kHZ at the end. This might be a "copy/paste" mistake or something.
  4. It seems really something this amp. I'm interested on knowing more about the Limiter too. I haven't seen any spot online to purchase it though. Maybe it's still a little early. I'd like to know its price range, since the Little Marcus 1000 is around 650€. Another thing that calls my attention is the 1000W power. It's a pretty huge value for an amp this size.
  5. Hi guys. Here I am, another tinnitus suffering pal. As a professional for more than 20 years, now it's become my partner, it seems for life. I have it in both ears now and, at the beginning, it was in my left ear mostly. I thought that it was because I tend to play with drummers located at my left whenever I can. Cymbals and snares has done their job in my ears. But with time it became present in both ears, with the left ring being louder than the right. I never protected my ears, so my bad. But I need to tell you something that makes me think that this go further than just noise damage to your ears. The thing is that this really got worse after lockdown. You now, the lack of gigs, struggling to survive... stress. The days that I'm stressed it gets real mad. So I guess it has some neurological component to it. Since they don't now the cure, my advice and what works better for me is to take it easy, meditate, do some physical activities and it will get at least a few points better. And of course, protect you ears... Greetings to everybody!
  6. Thank you very much sir! See you around
  7. Thank you very much sir! See you around
  8. Interesting post. I play an EBS NeoLine 212 on tour (it stays on the tour trailer) and at my home I have a 2x10 ProLine for local gigs, but I'm seriously thinking of swapping this one for two 112 Neolines. I think it's a good idea to have one 112 for smaller gigs and the two of them stacked for bigger venues.
  9. They're just great. I bought one of my USA MTD's I saw on their website. They where so helpful and kind. Everything went perfect, even though they had to send it to Barcelona. Great professionals. Totally reliable.
  10. Thanks a lot for your kind words Tom. I'm looking forward to chat with you guys. Blessings!
  11. I prefer MTD, but pre-Gibson Tobias are huge beasts too!
  12. @Reggaebass @SpondonBassed @Dad3353 Thanks for the welcoming
  13. Hi, Charlie Moreno, here. I'm a bass player from the Carnary Islands but I live in Barcelona for 20 years now. Been posting on the forum for a few years, buying and selling stuff mainly, but I think I never stopped by to say hello. Excuse me, please. 🙏 I play my music with Charlie Moreno Band (instrumental jazz fusion, 4 albums) and my alter ego band Powafunk (Funk with singers, 1 album-2nd in the making). I love MTD basses, though I have some other basses too. I own a recording studio in Barcelona: Blackbird Studios. I'll be glad to participate in the forum, I'll try to join some of the many interesting posts around here and I hope to make some new friends. And if you have any questions about my thing or something you think I could help, don't hesitate, I'm willing to interact with you guys! See you around! PD.: Please excuse me if my English is not so good...
  14. Hi guys, Here I bring another tune from my new album From The Vault, this time playing with my band. Recorded live at Blackbird Studios in Barcelona, its name is Point Zero and it's one of the trickiest tunes to play from the CD. I hope you like it!!! Bass gear used: MTD 535-24 "Purple dream" bass with Bartolini pickups and electronics EBS Reidmar 502 & ProLine 210 Ernie Ball Super Slinky strings RightOn! Straps
  15. Hi bass fellas, here I bring my latest videos uploaded to YouTube, I hope you like them!!! One Thing - Marvin Sapp This time I bring you a worship anthem by gospel legend Marvin Sapp, recorded live in my work space: Blackbird Studios. The original bass is played with synth keys, so it was a challenge to take it to the electric bass and give my own flavor to it. Bass gear used: MTD Kingston AG5 custom bass with Bartolini pickups and electronics, EBS Micro Bass II, Ernie Ball Super Slinky strings, RightOn! Straps The first video I record with my MTD "Purple Dream" bass has to be a Prince tune. Here I bring one of my favorite songs by him: "Somebody's somebody", recorded live in my work space Blackbird Studios. The original bass seems to be played by the great Rhonda Smith, and it's really awesome. I just try to give it my own flow. Bass gear used: MTD 535-24 "Purple dream" bass with Bartolini pickups and electronics, EBS Micro Bass II, Ernie Ball Super Slinky strings, RightOn! Straps. There we go again. Here I bring one of my favorite songs by Daft Punk, recorded live in my work space Blackbird Studios. They are amazingly inspirational on to me as a composer and producer, and you may notice if you hear my latest studio work. There isn't really a bass on the original recording, so I tracked one and I just tried to give my own taste. Bass gear used: MTD 535-24 "Purple dream" bass with Bartolini pickups and electronics, EBS Micro Bass II, Ernie Ball Super Slinky strings, RightOn! Straps.
  16. It is still the best my friend. Totally in good shape and rocking!!!
  17. Oh you are very kind my friend. I'm blushed! Thank you. I don't think I deserve those extremely nice words but I hope that the new owner of this bass can enjoy it as much as I've been enjoying it.
  18. Hey my friend! Yes, it's a killer instrument, thanks for the video. It is an unbelievable instrument and plays like heaven, hope not to regret about selling it. I just sell it because I'm after another MTD that I'm in love with, and I already have another 535, it make no sense to have three of 535 basses, I'm not rich
  19. Due to an unprecedented GAS attack, I put on sale what has long been my most precious bassic weapon. A marvelous MTD USA 535-24. This basses achieve an unquestionable quality and they have a wonderful sound. Everyone, absolutely all the sound tech guys I have worked with since I got it has praised the sound, the punch, the depth and the definition of this bass. And on top it is versatile as few. Please do not offer me changes since I want the money to catch another MTD. I reserve the right to withdraw it from the sale if the bass I am following is sold before. Price doesn't include shipping or insurance. Features: Model: 535 Year 2009 Woods: Body: Ash Neck: Maple Fingerboard: Maple Finish: Dark Cherry Burst Dimensions / Specifications Strings: 5 Scale: 35 String spacing: 19 mm Number of frets: 24 Tuning: Buzz Feiten System Hardware: Hipshot USA Pickups and preamp: Bartolini (manufactured exclusively for MTD) Weight: 4,6 kg The bass is in very good condition, has the logical wear on the pickups because of the use, and between the pickups on the wood, a mark of thumb rest. Otherwise it is perfect, including the frets that allow a very low action without fret buzz, and I deliver it with the following extras: -Custom knobs: precious, such as those on the highest ranges of MTD, purchased directly from Q-Parts in the USA. -Original MTD gig bag -Jim Dunlop safety locks -RightOn! strap, high quality, matching the instrument -Fret Warp by Gruv Gear Attached photos of the beast: And some videos so you can hear how this machine sounds: Well, this is your chance to have a bass guitar build by one of the most legendary luthiers, Michael Tobias, and one of the most exclusive brands in the market.
