This Carvin AC40f is an original design by this Californian brand and has been in their catalog for years. It comes to fill the gap between the electric and the acoustic bass, offering some interesting features over a traditional acoustic bass such as:

- Feedback free operation

This is the fretless 4 string model without lines on the fingerboard (side dots are included). It is incredibly easy to play and it sounds just great. The Black nylon tape strings feel smooth and are easy on intonation too.

This was actually my bass that I built from a guitarbuild.co.uk body and a northwest guitars neck,I sold it about 3 years to an American student in Liverpool,I just bought it back for £150 last night and picked it up this morning,it’s a bit of a reclamation project,the neck is like a banana and the fretboard is detached ,but with a bit of TCL I’ll have up and running,and fir £150 I can’t grumble to much,I think I payed £50 for the wizard thumper pick ups

Only made for a few years, this bass is somewhat of a mashup of a Precision Bass Plus Deluxe and a Stu Hamm Urge bass, both of which borrowed from the Kubicki electronics and knob style from when Fender was building Kubickis in the very early '90s. This is a great bass in phenomenal condition, given that it is over 20 years old. Lots of flexibility and a thoroughly modern tone.

I’ve got an fender California series precision bass,the truss rod doesn’t seem to keep the neck straight,and it’s maxed out with a couple of washers on it as well,and now there’s a crack in the back of the neck,just wanted to know if it’s fixable??,is it a massive job to replace the truss rod,and does anybody have a rough cost,all the best
