    Hi guys, I am thinking of parting ways with my Elrick Gold series, I bought it new in March from Bass Direct for £2450 and I've hardly played/gigged it at all. It's an amazing instrument to play and sounds incredible! I am only parting ways as I can't currently justify the investment.     Just for the record; I worked in a paint shop and love cheap options for getting round expensive products, but I really can't imagine emulsion lasting very long. It may work if you thinned it enough to really bind with the wood fibers, but on the whole I can't imagine it being a particularly effective solution. You can buy a primer/under coat by Johnstone's called Joncryl that is pretty in expensive and I would think to be a much better job. It would dry as fast as an emulsion too. Good luck with this either way, I'm more than content that in practice you can be proved wrong!

    We played a super crap evening a working mans club, won't name it, but basically they expected a Madness covers band. We're not a Madness covers band. We never said we were, just a Ska band with a couple of Madness tunes in there. We had to play for 3 hours, there was hardly a ripple of applause anywhere. At the end of the gig, rather spitefully our front man said 'Thanks you very much, see you next time' From the darkest recess of the furthest corner, some cretin croaked 'I 'ope note'...

    Hey buddy, I would be interested in taking this off your hands. I had a go on a couple of these at the london bass show a couple of weeks ago and they were amazing! I would be looking at trading it for my Spector Legend 5 string. I have upgraded the pups to EMG X's. It's a really solid bass that plays very well and sounds great! I don't have a pic to hand but it's identical to this http://images.monstermarketplace.com/guitars-and-accessories/spector-professional-series-legend-5-classic-bass-black-cherry-1000x263.jpg With a few dings and scratches here and there (nothing major, just from use) I was ideally looking to sell it as I have recently upgraded to an Elrick and this one is now redundant.
