4. Have a Bump on me Joe! These are a fantastic upgrade for Gibson type bridges! I have one on my SG Supreme and it makes a noticable difference to the sustain + great adjustability! and it looks great too! Will.
 5. What a great guy -- Sorted me out with a set of Machine Heads, and sent them out extremely well packed and very fast delivery! Many thanks Russ! Regards Will.
 6.
...that was supposed to apply a coating to the strings so it made them work a bit like elixirs or any other coated string? I remember reading about it ages ago but I can't remember who made it or what it's called
GHS Fast Fret is one of the most popular! Will.

 10.
I so nearly bought one of the Behringer units, but opted for a Korg DTR1000 instead. Cost £140, but worth every penny (or should that be "cent") Accurate as you like, whatever the pitch. Makes setting up an instrument a much more accurate process. Put it this way; Everyone else spots it, plugs in and tunes up. Only the Peterson tuners are as good / better, and they're V. expensive...
I totally agree mate, Just bought the Korg DTR2000 ( Its got a handy rack light as well ) Superb and only £137.00 inc delivery! Will.
 11.
Haha, Alembic nicked the design from Fender, then RG Keen (whoever he is) sticks the schematic on his site and has the cheek to slap a copyright warning on it. Alex is right about the unclippability of the input stage. And it does look like a bargain, specially considering how much Alembic charge for their version of it. Wonder what sort of quality valve they use in it though?
Sovtek in mine ( I swopped it out for an old but good Brimar ) Will.
 12. You could put some felt washers under the Knob, and hold the knob down while you tighten the grub screw to vary the tension to your liking! Will. Whot ----- no double entendre
 13.
trump....
Is that you or is it the Combo thats Farting out?
 14.
Someone buy one and review it!
Review in " BassPlayer Mag " or pop down to Leeds and try mine out! Will.
 15.
How does the sound compare to the LM11 ? I like a very deep warm undistorted tone for dub and reggae. I was considering an LM11 but like the idea of the Hartke LHI000 with 750w into 8 ohms it has more power for less dosh although it is heavier. Steve.
I would think if the LH1000 sounds as good as the LH500 it would be an awesome amp for Reggae and Dub with the right speakers! When I opened the LH500 to swap the pre-amp valve I was suprised at the size of the torroidal transformer - its Massive, most of the weight of the amp ( and hopefully the Headroom ) is due to this beast! I have not gigged it yet, so cant comment on live performance. I just bought it as a backup and for bedroom use but susspect with the right cabs it will be excellent! Regards Will.
 16.
The new Hartke LH500 head gets a great review in "Bass Player" magazine even if EQ options limited to Bass, Mid and Treble (all I need anyway!) - thought I would bring it to attention as it sounds like a really good starter head for a beginner or the bassist on a budget - or a damn cheap backup for those worried about their pricey "high end" amp at some gigs Made in China but amazing value - my Markbass head cost three times as much (although I love it)!
I bought one and can confirm they are excellent value for money ( i also have a MarkBass LM2 ) Very simple controls but a good range of sounds. I swopped the Sovtek ECC83 Pre Amp valve for an old but good Brimar, and it made a noticeable difference to the gain ( ie LOUDER ) and also seems to make it a little smoother at higher levels ( although it was already very clean ) A very impressive bit of Kit at a great price! Anyone in the Leeds area that is thinking of buying one is welcome to come and try mine! Will.
 17.
Offers?
Would you be interested in a swop of the Red one for my Fender Urge Bass? Link to original sale http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=16336&hl= Regards Will.

 23.
LOL, there is no way you would let a sale drop for the sake of a tenner. AND we have not even haggled on the price. But I do not wish to barter with you like a second rate Tunisian, so the deal is done. Couple of questions though. Are the pics recent? What is an ABS case? What is the fitted TRC? Cheers Will
Hi Daz Its going to cost me a lot more than a tenner to drive to Preston and back mate ( I drive a big thirsty Merc 4 X 4 ) Yes -- the pics were taken on the day of first posting on the Forum and its not been out of the case since! An ABS case is a Moulded case similar to the Genuine Ricky case as shown in my photies! But mines not a Ricky one! TRC is the Truss Rod Cover! Mine is fitted with a Ricky one and the original Rockingbetter is also supplied. I suggest we move to PM to make arrangements! if you are still interested. Regards Will.
 24.
Grrr. I have no way of getting there.
Will drive over and deliver to Preston for £310.00 in case or £290 in Gig Bag! Will.
 25.
Can you get it to preston? Money waiting right now.
Could meet up halfway or will post at cost! Will.
