1. Hi there I'm looking for a chord chart for the R Dean Taylor classic "There's A Ghost In My House". I've found the bass tab but it is the chords we need. Does anyone know if these have been published (either online or in printed form)? I've tried sheetmusicdirect.com and Googled loads but still can't find it. Many thanks
2. Bumped for a quick sale at bargain price
3. Just came across this site through another posting about transcriptions. http://www.arcellussykesmusic.com/index.php?/transcriptions/
4. Cort Curbow 4 String in Mystic Orange Crazer. Bought this as my backup bass but have given it very little use. Fitted with Pyramid Gold flatwound strings and Jim Dunlop straplocks. More details on the Cort website. I'm looking for only £175 for the bass and a gig bag (stand not included). Buyer to collect from Thames Ditton, Surrey (postcode KT7). Let me know if you want any further details or photos. Thanks. Ray
5. Me too, please. My name is Ray Benitez. Have just sent a friend request. Many thanks.
6. So, 15 months after commissioning the bass, and after a lot of excellent crafstmanship from Robbie, today I collected it from Robbie. It is A-MAZING. More photos to follow soon.
7. Robbie says the bass will be ready for me to collect next weekend. 7 days and counting :-)
8.
That's one pretty bass you got there! I was just wondering if you knew the reasons behind the strange arrangement for both the tuners and tail piece, since I'm guessing it's more than aesthetics.
Sorry, I've been off line for a while. Robbie would have to say if there is anything more than looks involved - but for me it was the looks that mattered :-) Latest from Robbie is that a couple of coats of varnish have gone on. Not long to wait now.
9. It will be a bit quiet for a while now - Robbie is taking the bass apart to do the surface finish.
10. It's going to be a great weekend :-)
11. Courtesy of Robbie, latest pictures showing bridge and tailpiece not just delivered but trial fitted on my bass. Happiness :-) Thanks, Robbie.
12. Now, when I said "in the post " on 22 March, what I should have said was "will be in the post on 11 May" :-( Anyway, Robbie has been a star and shown great customer service, given the grief he has been getting from one of his suppliers. The bridge is now in the post, and there is photographic evidence :-)
13. Robbie has now fitted the back cover. And the custom bridge is meant to be in the post from Germany.
14. And I'm also selling my Hohner Steinberger B2A 4-String: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=290299691995 Please take a look.
15. I'm selling my Corvette 5-string: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=290299690574 Please take a look.
16. Supplier now promising custom bridge within two weeks. Fingers double crossed, as Robbie said :-)
17. Major progress. Frets in. Body routed (but scoop out still to be added). Back routed. Robbie is still waiting for the long-delayed custom bridge from his supplier - hope this doesn't turn out to be a problem!
18.
If you have the feel for slap you can play it on a plank, i dont think anyone can show you how to be a slap bass player just as no bass can be specific to the art. Good slap players either have it or they dont.(No instant slap basses). You have to be a loose funky type of person to play it,i always thought it was a bit like drumming, but your snares, toms and high hats have notes. I love slap and i was playing it in my head years befor i even picked up a bass guitar, the licks i play on my bass have always been my signature tune as i am walking along the street.
Thanks for everyone's comments. I take the point that it comes down to technique and feel rather than a specific bass. But the suggestions on what to look for are really helpful, too.
19. Thanks in advance for any advice on choosing a bass for slap. Either specific models or general tips. Budget is up to £300 and I'm after a 4-string. Cheers
20. More photos from Robbie. The top is on!
21.
This text file is based on Adam Nittis exercises and I use this as a general warm-up - Please do READ accompanying notes.
Hi, does it matter if you play down each column or across each row in turn? Thanks.
22. Latest picture from Robbie. And a change of heart on the 12th fret inlay - I'm going for no inlay, just side markers. Decided to keep it simple.
