  1. The Orange OBC 4X10 is a phenomenal sounding cab and a perfect match but it's heavy, and awkward to carry due it's shape... Its closer to a cube than most other 410's. On the plus-side it's got terrific low end presence and mid-range punch though. The horn doesn't seem to do much to my ears mind you.

  2. Hi guys,

I'm in need of some new control plate screws for my fender jazz (US 2005) as one has rounded out. I cant find them anywhere online but I wondered whether the screws are the same ones used to attach the scratch plate? I don't have my bass with me so I can't check at the moment.

Apologies for what could potentially be a silly question but any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Joe

  3. The S1 switch is a fantastic feature on these... Switch to series and roll off the treble and your playing a whole different bass.

I've got the same bass with a rosewood board and I couldn't ever part with it.

This is from a golden era for fender in terms of build quality too.. Much better than the current crop IMO. You couldn't get a cigarette paper into the neck pocket on mine... It would seem as though you can get a whole pack of King size rizzlas in some of the new 74 reissue jazz basses I've seen

Any potential buyer will not be disappointed.

  4. To the OP. What were the releases that you wanted?

I can sympathise with your post, I've que'd outside of my local shop for the past few years, but I've been lucky enough to bag what I've been after.

I decided against the morning mayhem today but I was pleased to pick up jah wobble's single and the jaco pastorius anthology.

I enjoy record store day, but I owe that to making a ritual of sitting down to listen to everything I buy afterwards and I would have to agree that it is the worst day to visit your favourite record shop.

  5. I Recently bought an orange ad200b from Bob... All in all he's Great guy and a great bass player. He really knows his stuff when it comes to gear too.

I wanted to make sure I gave the amp a good try out before buying, and when I arrived to find the head sat on top of a bergantino cab in a soundproofed room I couldn't have been happier.

    Buy with confidence

  6. Thanks kingbollock,

It says on the rear of the amp. "Mains fuse T3.15amp".

I took this as meaning that's what I need to fit in the mains plug. I've already got some of the fuses that you've linked to, however they don't fit a plug top.

There is a fuse located underneath the kettle input on the back of the amp, if the 3.15amp fuse rating is applying to this, then what fuse should I use in the plug top?

    Thanks
