1.
maybe peavey microbass? or roland cube ?
Stuck with what I got for now, I didn't realise going to one jam would make me want to get back out there so quickly.
 2. I've just got back into playing again after 5 or so years off and having bought a fine JD roadie fretless from Rich I managed to get one of the above to practice with. I went to a jam last week with backline supplied and I'm hooked again! Now of course I've got major GAS but the bank manager is having none of it so I'm a bit restricted for a while until I get some funds together. Now this seems to be a good little amp but living in a flat with neighbours all around I can't really crank it without risking someone having a stroke or something (several elderly neighbours)! So the question is has anybody gigged or rehearsed with one of these babies, I'm into Blues/Rock/Pop type of stuff so I'm guessing anything I try for could vary in volume greatly. I don't want to turn up for an audition to find it sounds like a sparrow fart in a hurricane! Cheers Colin
 3. I just started playing again after a 5 year break and found a program called Hotstepper quite useful. http://www.threechords.com/hammerhead/hotstepper.shtml I just put a beat in and pressed the loop button to play along but it is far more expansive than that if you want to program a whole song say with drum breaks etc. Putting in a sound is very easy you just left click the position you want the bass drum or snare etc and right click to remove it if it's in the wrong place. Lots of sounds and I believe you can download your own to it too.

Come and have a listen, you can then decide if you want to join in or not. Look forward too seeing you sometime. Craig
Just got back from the jam and thoroughly enjoyed myself! Cheers to Craig for making me feel welcome and to all the others there thank you too. Played four songs, three I knew one I didn't but wasn't a problem as the guys were very helpful in showing what they were playing. The Jaydee sounded great, just plug in and play...instant sound. Got a lot of comments about it and was happy to extol the virtues of Mr Diggins! It was the first time I had been to an organised pub jam and very well organised it was too, no standing around trying to work out who's next, just a list of names and a guy(whos name I have forgotten already DOH!) calling people up for a couple of songs. Will definitely go again! Colin
 5.
There's a good jam every Thursday at the Cricketers in Westfield if you're interested, it starts about half eight. I play in the house band and OBBM also comes down, be good to see you. Craig
Oooer, that sounds like a good idea *wrings hands nervously*! What sort of stuff do you do? I haven't played properly for about 5 years so I'm a bit rusty to say the least. Thanks for the welcomes Colin
 6. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...E:X:RTQ:GB:1123 Nothing special just doing someone a favour linking to here to see if there's any interest. The amp is very local to me so I sent several messages to the seller as I was very interested but as he was away he didn't reply until today and of course something else came up in the meantime! Cheers Colin
 7.
Hi Colin, a warm welcome from just down the road from you in Bisley. Craig
I moved from Bisley just before Xmas, lived there for about 3 years on the Flowers estate. I live in Maybury now. So what's the scene like locally? I've been totally out of it for a while, most of my playing was down in Devon for the 12 or so years I lived down there.
 8. Hi Basschatters Thought it was about time to introduce myself. I've been lurking for a while whilst I got my funds together to purchase a fine bass, namely the Jaydee Roadie Fretless below! The pics were taken on a phone so not great. Cheers to Rich for letting his long time friend go, I'll try to do it justice. It's my first fretless so I'll be practising hard to get my intonation right. To be honest I listen to and play all sorts though I suppose Blues/Rock is my best style. I need to get my backline sorted out and then I'll be on the hunt for a covers type band to relieve the boredom of work! Looking forward to some good times on here. Cheers Colin
