7. Morning guys, I am putting up for sale my complete bass rig on here (before ebay) due to lack of use and space. Included in the rig is: Warwick Profet 5.10 rack mount head (brand new 1 year ago) Warwick 610 cab (brand new year ago) Korg DTR1 Tuner (bought second hand 1 year ago but in perfect working order) AKD GB40 wireless with bug transmitter (bought second hand on this forum about a year ago) with rackmounting kit Warwick 4U rack case All connections so it is ready to plug in and go = including beefy (not sure how else to describe it) Warwick speakon amp to speaker cable. All of this kit is in good working order although I will mention that the top left speaker in the cab has an intermittent problem - it seems to distort/flap every once in a while. Not sure what it is, but a replacement from Warwick would fix this easily and probably quite cheaply (I just haven't had the need to use it for so long, it didn't seem worth replacing). I only have a picture of the head and the tuner in the rack case (other pictures on my phone which I have since sold): If need be, I can take a picture of the cab (it is in storage at the minute), but in all honesty, if you are looking at this, you know what it looks like... This will need to be collected only - I think Royal Mail would send a hitman to my house if I tried to post it anywhere, although saying this, I could probably meet you on a weekend on the M25 as far as South Mimms (northbound) or Clackett Lane (southbound). As stated, this is a complete rig - even has the 4bar included so you are ready to go. When I bought it all (in all honesty, I think it was just over a year ago - March 08?), it cost about £900 for the lot. I just want rid of it now really - band gone tits up and can see no use for it in the forseeable future. I am probably going to bulletin this on myspace as well, so it might sell there. Let me know if you are interested. Anyway, thanks for looking. Added: I just found a picture on my new phone (still without the wireless): EDIT: I just found the original picture of the wireless from when I bought it on here. I forgot it came with the Desktop charger for the transmitter (which still has the rechargeable battery in it). This will be included as well. Pics:

GAK

They are good, but if you NEED something. always check stock over the phone with them. I have waited a month before giving up on something that I ordered online. Just kept getting told (after I chased them up) that it would be another 5 - 7 days...
9.
Received the "Bug" yesterday. First impressions were pretty good as it seems nicely built, it even fits my Ibanez Ergodyne with a "strat-style" angled jack socket. As mentioned in this thread http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=14701 it does seem to boost top-end and cut bottom-end slightly, but this can easily be adjusted via EQ. Overall I'm pretty happy, though a live gig situation will be the real test. Rhymes - I'll see if I can add some photos when I get home from work tonight.
cheers Muzzer, nice one.
10.
That looks badass! i love the look of 6x10's!!
Thanks Alex - they do look impressive, but no doubt my spine will wish my wallet could stretch to a lighter neo version...
11. Hooray - finally got the bits of mine after much bargain hunting and got a chance to hook it up and turn it up at practice on Sunday. Just waiting for the wireless to drop in the top slot and it's chocs away - 10 shows and one broken liver coming up...
12. I used to have one of these (and will be getting another one very soon) and I have one suggestion: If you are a very active bass player (ie moving around a lot) it would probably be a good idea to tape down the battery cover - run a strip of gaffa round the middle to hold it in place. It's rather embarrassing if the battery drops out just as you start your slap bass solo...
13.
£78.23 including P&P... Any chance of another one of those new-fangled discount codes?
PS - discount codes are pretty easy to find. Obviously depending on if one is available... A quick google search for Thomann voucher codes should do the job - the trick to it is avoiding the commercial sites which advertise having codes for sites, then just re-direct you with no code which just makes them a few pence richer for re-directing you. Try to look out for genuine user forums - thats where you will normally find them. With the Sound Control one, the code came up in the search summary in google - I didn't even have to go in to the forum. Good luck... Also, I was looking at the T Bone today - good value for money with switchable channels etc. Just doesn't look very easily rack-mountable...
14. Muzzer, I would like to know what you get when you receive it... I would really prefer mine to be rack mounted. I spoke to Sound Control today before ordering about which receiver they have. It sounds like they are sending the old (non-diversity) unit. This is not a problem - as long as you are ok with a fixed channel, but you should be clear about that before buying. The problem is that the old unit uses a different rack mounting system (AKG RMU60) which are not readily available - possibly discontinued. The newer ones use RMU40. If you could tell us which one you get (maybe a picture would help - the two are very different looking units) it would be helpful. The post above about single frequencies is a very valid point - if you have other musicians in your band using wireless units, you would need to check their frequency and order a different one in case of a clash. Thanks, Rhymes
15. BUMP - this offer is still on AND, after a bit of searching I have found a voucher code which gives you FREE (yes FREE) standard delivery saving the £7.50 it would normally cost with Sound Control. Just type 123 into the voucher code box and hey presto. I have had one of these systems before and they are good, especially at this price. I will probably buy another one as in drunken exuberance I smashed the old transmitter to pieces. a new transmitter is £50 - 60 on it's own. And after a quick search, a rack mounting kit for these is only about another tenner. Even better. Ps - I assume the voucher code will work for anything you buy from sound control, not just this. Rhymes Edit - I have just quickly tried this code for a Line6 bass combo and (separately) an electric drum kit. Works for both. Hurrah.
