  1. Nice to meet you. I've been to Colorado Springs, very beautiful there. I'm originally from the eastcoast USA but a British citizen now. Enjoyed seeing the photos of your guitars. Very nice!
  2. Nice to meet you, and yea, it's never too late to do what your heart desires! Most of my achievements came later in life. I'm so pleased you're doing what makes you happy. Very cool that your dad is also learning to play. I'm another one who knows nothing about music theory, but it didn't stop me from using a keyboard for some of my songs, I just had to play the melody by memory instead. A lot of us have taught ourselves guitar. There are so many tutorials on the internet, but I'm sure you'll find your own path. Wishing you all the best!

  4. These have now been sold. Many thanks! Unused still in box Machine Head Set For Electric Bass Res-O-Lite series Super lightweight bass machine heads made of duralumin Designed to eliminate top-heaviness Vintage specifications Orientation: 4 in line for right handed guitar Weight : 61.8 g/pc Construction: Open Gear ratio: 1:28 Shaft length (to string hole): 20.4 mm Bore: 17.6 mm Mounting: Screws & press-in sleeves Finish: Gold Free shipping within UK Bass guitars have weighty machine heads and by their very nature have always suffered from “neck-dive”. With the advent of 5 and 6 string basses, this tendency became still more acute, making long sessions uncomfortable for the musician. The RES-O-LITE series was developed to solve this problem. By chiefly using the special alloy “duralumin”, excellent weight savings are achieved. By use of the Rock-Solid mechanism the GB350 transmits string movement more powerfully, whilst retaining tuning and giving a smooth winding experience.
  5. I thought this was done really well. Very enjoyable. Thanks for sharing it!
  6. Apologies, I haven't been around much due to family matters and also fitting some songwriting in. Lyrics are cheesy, yes, but I loved writing this composition which is getting airplay in the UK, USA, France and Germany. I said to my bassist husband, Tom, "Make your bass sound like a heartbeat at the beginning." While the lead guitarist wasn't keen on that, the final decision rested with me, and I'm glad I insisted, because friends told me they really liked the intro. I also had to put the drums together since I don't have a drummer. Hope you all enjoy it. I had to do the mixing and mastering, thus I'm still learning. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uzO7J-43i7g
  7. I'm a bit biased because I'm friends with the singer/songwriter This group was popular in my old hometown in the USA
  8. Same here with our 4003 series
  9. Hello from another American, although I'm living in England now. Wishing you all the best.
  10. Welcome back. I just returned, too. Hope things are well with you.
  11. Nice to meet you. The songs sound good. Enjoyed them!
  12. The Jam. Going Underground. Saw Bruce Foxton perform right before the pandemic.
  13. I'm glad you reached a decision. My husband goes through this thought pattern every few months and I always cringe when he mentions selling something. I love all his guitars! He has sold many in the past, and we have regretted it. I understand any concerns about space, as we live in a tiny one bedroom place, more like a bachelor flat. You'd laugh if you saw how the livingroom is full of guitar cases! It's to the point where we could only fit a sofa, no chairs, in the room. We don't have the option of hanging guitars on the wall, since these walls aren't made strong. Also have a case hiding behind the sofa. I only have one bass, but have 3 other guitars. He has all basses. They are lovely. No guilt here. These were acquired over time and saving up. I've used each of my guitars in recording songs. As long as you won't regret selling them, it's all good.
  14. Good to see you here. Now I don't feel so alone. Just got my first bass, a Hofner Special Edition (needed something lightweight). Best wishes to you in getting your first bass!
  15. Thank you to everyone who inquired about the bass body. We are pleased it's going to a good home.
