  1. Hi put a gotoh on my bitsa jazz and it works a treat. Good bit of kit and good price compared to some of the others.
  2. Hi guys i am in the process of attempting my first from scratch build inspired in part by the great threads on here. At the moment i seem to be struggling to find a decent 5 string bridge for less than £100 any ideas? or recomendations cheers
  3. Bought the bass neck gerry was selling for a cracking price. Was quick and painless and apart from some awkward bank hols it arrived pronto. I can only echo what others have said a gent. Simon
  4. You could try the 6mm foam insulation that goes under laminate floors, its soft and grippy or just stick the head to the cab with double sided sticky pads
  5. Might be worth a trip to your local guitar shop. Had a epi firebird a few years back and bought a stand with a rotating seat at the bottom so no matter how extreme the angle of guitars end it just sat right. Cost about £15 and was a cracking good idea, just don,t know who made it
  6. +1 for the rotosound flats, really nice after using roundwound steels for years.
  7. Hi Guys Thinking of up grading the pickups in my Korean made 5 string. They sound ok but are the most budget of the budget bin. It has a P/J config and is passive. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Cheers shunt
  8. me i use dunlop tortex between .60 and 1.12 depending what i find in my stash first
  9. That is quite a gap my korean 5 string circa 1995 has no such issues and cost about a quarter of a USA bass. Send it back.

    Hello

Hi guys thought i'd just introduce myself. Getting back into bass after over busy work schedule killed it off for the last 10 years (very busy). I have dug out my mid 90's jim harley 5 string and am really enjoying being crap but trying to improve. Great forum. Shunt2
