Hi all Thought this might be of interest to Shuker fans. Just spoke to Jon (regarding a bass he's building for me) and a river that burst it's banks flows right past the workshop - and yesterday, flowed THROUGH the workshop. Luckily Jon anticipated this and moved all equipment necessary so minimal damage, I believe. Phew! Sounds great - good luck. I will have to see how my Nordstrand Fat Stacks turn out on my Shuker, but I think I'd be interested in getting more Nordys, possibly. Keep us posted!

Thanks for the input, guys. Well, 5 or 6 days since I emailed, I've heard nothing. I rang the workshop today and got no answer. I rang Jon's Mobile and got no answer, left a message. I know everyone's said how great his customer service is. I just wish I could see some of it. I appreciate he has a lot on, but I find it frustrating that I pay him sight unseen £1000 deposit, and it takes over a month for him to confirm it's received, and I haven't heard anything since (by the way, it was only me phoning that that got the receipt confirmation). I'm sure I'll be happy with the bass. I'm just not too happy right now. Not the best experience for my first ever custom. Cheers Mike

I've been enjoying some John Rutter recently, choral works for Clare College, Cambridge, as well as some Karl Jenkins (adiemus, Celtic stuff). Also loving some Tiger Lillies and Divine Comedy.

Richard Bona is my favourite musician, bar none, around today. That is a piece of jewellery given to him by his (late?) grandmother, and is very special, it's always on his bass. Regards Mike
