Can you take a pic of the bottom label and the serial number of the OC-2 please.

Just picked up an EA Wizzy 10 cab from Clarky. We worked out It’s been 15 years since we last met to do a Basschat deal. Like the last time this was a very pleasant transaction on all fronts. Let’s hope it’s not another 15 years before it happens again.

Just finished a very pleasant transaction with Marc. He purchased my Danelectro Longhorn reissue. I was able to get one on my friends to act as courier to meet Marc and do the exchange for me. All parties were pleased with the outcome which involved a lot of communication and trust, all which worked perfectly.
Thanks again for a hassle free sale Marc. Enjoy the bass!

I’m sure I read somewhere that the analogue Boss pedals are always off when powered up and the digital ones are always on when powered up. I could however have miss remembered that? I’ve definitely started a few gigs with my octave pedal on which has lead to some funny looks from the rest of the band!

Mine arrived today. On first play it was quite buzzy, in need of a setup I suspect - quite fun though.
However, plugging it in it sounded a whole lot better. Warm, rich low end and a decent, even articulate mid/top. It seems whoever was demoing the bass above left the tone control rolled full up, which does lead to it sounding horrible and scratchy. Set at midday or less allows the Uke to sound a lot like a standard bass particularly with its round wound strings.
I’m warming to it slowly and hoping it’ll be more than just a novelty ‘mini’ bass. I shall test it out on a gig later this week and report back. I’m pretty sure my band mates will hate it! 😆

OMG! Not sure my credit card can handle this just before Christmas?

Just bought a Boss BCB-90x pedalboard from Ben. This is the 3rd item I’ve bought from him and as before it was as described, very well packed and arrived extremely promptly with excellent communication throughout.
Highly recommended.

This used to be mine. Great bass for a fantastic price.
I just wanted to add that I’m fairly sure the pickguard is the original as when I bought it, the chap I bought it from purchased it new and assured me it was stock.

I've played through one of these. It's an overdrive pedal. The name is baffling 😆
Yes you did, the one I mentioned above.
I’m starting to think they only ever made one as a joke and that’s what is being passed around 😆

I sold one of these here on the forum a couple of months ago. From what I remember It was really more of a distortion pedal with an EQ. I have no idea what the whole ‘Slap Bass’ thing was about at all?
Hope it serves you well.

This might help:
https://www.contrabaixobr.com/t18141-boss-ceb-3-analog-bass-chorus-x-boss-ceb-3-digital-bass-chorus
It looks like the digital one to me.
TBH I have both and I actually prefer the digital one? Go figure!

While we’re talking filters, one of my all time faves was the T-Wah in the Boss ME-8b! I’ve bought loads of other Boss filters in my time and none are as good as the ME-8b. If they sold that in a compact I’d buy it without hesitation.
Also - Has anyone tried the Nano Q-tron against the big box Mini Q-tron. If it was at least close I’d probably settle for that to reclaim half of my pedalboard.

I’ve just rediscovered my big box mini Q tron, it has the slurpy sound I always had in my head. Been using it ever since I plugged it back in!

I still have my Rack bass POD XT and my 500x, but I’m truth I haven’t used them in a long while.
When I do dig them out, they seem a bit awkward by today’s standards. We are lucky these days to have more blocks to play with than these older units. The ability to run parallel paths is also much easier these days. That said, they both sound decent which is why I’ve kept them. After much toing and froing Ive settled on the Boss GT1K which is overkill for my needs really but sounds great and is so flexible.
