  2. An EUB definitely has its benefits for a bassist travelling to gigs.

     

    I am currently using a Yamaha SLB-200, and I highly recommend it. The design and its shape make it less difficult to transition to an EUB. Plus, it sounds great, both arco and pizz.

     

    I previously had an Eminence. That sounded great too. However, after using the SLB-200, I never looked back.


    Just to add, I am currently GASing for an Alter Ego. Should I have enough funds, this will probably be my next EUB.

  3. I have tried both the bass wheel and the bass buggie. To cut a long story short, I sold the wheel and kept the buggie.
     

    With the buggie, I find it easier to control the bass. Not that it will happen, but in case the bass is at risk of falling, with the wheel, the bass can fall in any direction. With the buggie, it can fall on 2 directions — forward or backward. Likewise, I do not need to remove my endpin with the buggie. However, its price may put off some potential buyers.

    I hope you’ll find the one that’ll suit your needs.

    Back on sale is this beautiful G&L SB-2, made in the USA in 1996, with an ash body, maple neck and FB, in great condition, ready to be played.

     

    The controls were modified to concentric stacked knobs for volume of the neck and bridge pickups, plus a tone control.

     

    The bass weighs 3.81 Kg (8.4 lbs). It’s OHSC is included, but look at the photos below for reference... now, here is a demo and the specs of this bass:
