I went to grammar school with someone whose surname is D'Addario. There's only one way to pronounce the letter A in Italian, which is "ah".

Having said that, the string-making guys have been American for generations and I suppose that gives them the right to pronounce their own surname as they like.

Adblock Plus gets rid of sponsored ads on the newsfeed, as well as other ads on the page, on both desktop and mobile, and I've always ignored FB's requests to pay for band advertising. I am there as myself and as the admin for a few band pages I manage. The band pages are - or perhaps were - quite useful for gigging bands, to direct fans and venues to something they can easily interact with online, unlike a website.

I've been muting a lot of 'friends' in the last few months - I can only tolerate a certain amount of publicly posted stupidity.

Well, I've been offered to meet Filipino or Ukrainian women, and I don't think they are meant to be lesbians. No cookies about looking for same sex fun on my PC, I'm afraid. I am currently at Florence airport, waiting to fly back home to London, and I'm being offered (in Italian) English language courses. No cookies about that either on my PC! 😮
