This is the rehearsal we did yesterday. Now I feel like giving up pies. Thought the camera added 10lbs, not 20! 😆
A bit cold your end of the room I take it?

Love this place, spend a lot of time here, don't post a heck of a lot, but I end up deleting a lot of comments just before I post em in reply to some folks who appear to delight in being obtuse and/or trollish....."If ya can't say something nice......" that sort of thing. I've learned a heck of a lot, met some lovely people, and hopefully imparted just a smidgeon of knowledge back as well!

I dislike the angular body shape of a Jazz bass,to scratch the jazz itch I installed 2 tonerider J pickups into my old Squier PJ....after suitable body modification and a new scratchplate. Its the closest I'm EVER gonna get to owning another jazz bass!

'Coffee table' basses. I can't explain why but 99% of those exotic wood basses with an 'interesting' grain.....just leave me cold. Also relicing a bass......why pay good money for something I can do myself over a period of time by just playing it? Too weird for me.

Check out @TimAl here in good ole Blighty, he does something similar and you can give him a fave graphic to put on a guard, lots cheaper too!

Andy just bought a Zoom B9 from me, our 2nd meeting, as before we meet up halfway, and as before he overpaid me to cover my petrol. This man is a legend! Always a pleasure Andy.

I swapped out an Eden 4x10 for a Barefaced 2x10, my back thanks me, my ears thank me. In fairness, the sound of the Eden IS better IMO, but its very close. the Bf 2x10 is absolutely the dogs danglies, if you get one, you won't be disappointed trust me!

So after this we messed around with a few daft covers just for fun - Addicted to Love, Go Your Own Way,
That's creepy...we've just added those 2 to our repertoire as well, Go your own way sounds great with 3 vocals playing at harmonies, and the drummer has nailed Fleetwood's distinctive drum fills, bass line for addicted just ties my fingers up about halfway in, fiddly and repetitive! I'll get the bugger though lol

Looks like John has made cables for just about all of us!
Many thanks for carrying on from OBBM!
John just knocked me up some solid speaker cables for our PA, fast and quality work, can def recommend!

I've also got to get the vocalist to put the speaker stands up right (he keeps pulling them through so the bottom of the pole is above the inner strut pivot points). Still, everyone is good at helping load and unload.
I've got a singer who does that too #sigh#

Listening now, very impressed, kinda Fields of the Nephelim meets dark Depeche Mode, love it!!
