1. Hi Thanks The preamp all fits under the control plate, along with the battery. The John East J -Retro comes already fitted on the control plate: https://www.east-uk.com/product/j-retro-01/?v=79cba1185463
2. Sire P5 Precision Bass. Excellent condition. As new. Looks unused. "The P5 is a newly-designed Sire bass guitar, joining the acclaimed Marcus Miller lineup. Taking heavy inspiration from vintage precision-style instruments, Sire's utilitarian P5 model has plenty of classic character with its timeless body shape and solid construction — dishing out thumping low-end tones via a lone, middle-mounted split-coil pickup. Further noteworthy appointments include a rock-solid roasted Maple neck with a rolled-edge fingerboard, medium-sized frets, open-gear tuners and a genuine bone nut. Available at a fantastic price-point to boot, like all Sire instruments, the P5 is a versatile bass that perfectly blends traditional allure with modern refinement." (Last 2 photos from the Anderton's website) Delivery charge £25.00 includes full insurance, or buyer arranges. Listed elsewhere too.

4. SOLD Fender USA Highway One Jazz Precision Bass with J-Retro 01 Pre-amp, Badass II bridge. It was a Jazz, now it's a P/J. Ok, there's a bit of a story behind this one: I bought this bass used approx 10 years ago and although the bass was fine, someone had made a really bad job at trying to "relic" it. The original finish was red nitrocellulose. It looked like someone had deliberately scuffed off the paint (in a really artificial way) and maybe repeatedly hit it with a bunch of keys! So, I removed the remains of the nitrocellulose paint and painstakingly "refinished" the body using some wood dye and Wudtone waxes and finish. It literally took weeks! It's still very irregular and has various pits and scratches, but I think it looks cool, like it's been used and has aged. There is nothing structurally wrong with this guitar. The neck is straight, has a low action and the truss rod works. The back of the neck has a few dings in it. Nothing dreadful. I don't notice them when playing it. You may be able to "heat them out" but I haven't tried, as it doesn't bother me. I also fitted a John East J-Retro 01 Pre-amp (currently retailing at £187.50) this works brilliantly. The last modifications are the Bakelite pickguard and a Fender Pure Vintage '62 Precision Bass® Pickup (currently £105.00 from fender) in the neck position. The bridge pickup is the one that came with the bass. If you wanted to, the pickguard and pickup could be changed back to Jazz Bass, and the extra routing for the P-Bass pickup filled. I don't have the original Jazz pickguard or pickup any more. It's hard to put a price on this bass. They seem to be selling for £1000 ish on Reverb, but they'll be in stock condition, but ......no expensive preamp! I could be open to offers! Please note this bass is also listed elsewhere. Postage is £25.00 insured, or you can arrange. 8. SOLD. SIRE MARCUS MILLER V7 2nd GEN ALDER 4-STRING BASS. Very good condition. Only played a few times. Never gigged. NOW SOLD
9. Those are the ones.....very analogue Dx and Moog sounding. They're not as good as the C4, but close enough in a live mix.
10. They have improved, but just not that much!
11. Ok, for what it's worth, here's my opinion on the Zoom B6: I've had some time to play about with it at home and in rehearsal studios. My overall opinion is that if you already have a Zoom B3 or B3n it's not worth buying. The sounds may be slightly fuller, but not so you'd notice much in a live setting. Apart from the D.I.'s (which I don't use) there's not a great deal of anything that makes it better than the previous generations. It's like an iPhone 11 to 12 upgrade.....it's not enough to justify the price hike. The case is plastic rather than metal (which is a huge step backwards) and it's too big for what it does. I play in an 80's covers band. I have a Helix Stomp too and since the recent 3.15 update the synth sounds (which I thought were pretty bad and much worse than the Zoom before) are now much better, to the extent that in a live setting they are more than adequate to replace my Source Audio C4 and Boss SY-200, but probably not if recording, but let's face it, you'd probably use a full size or soft synth for that anyway.. The stomp case is metal, looks better imho, and is a third of the size of the Zoom. So.....to summarise, The B6 is not much better than the B3 and doesn't do enough that's new. It's too big and its plastic. It costs too much. The Helix Stomp (since the 3.15 upgrade) is now my one pedal solution and has made my pedal board redundant (for now, at least).
12. Yep....mine's in transit from Germany, even though I bought it from DV247.......
13. I've got one on order for early March. I'm hoping that it will replace my whole pedal board. I agree that the Zoom B3n has much more useable synth sounds than the Helix Stomp (I have both), but not compared to the C4 (which I also have). I'm hoping that it will be "good enough" in a live setting to replace the C4 though, as I play in an 80's covers band and use synth sounds on half a dozen songs. I'd also like it to replace my MXR M87 bass compressor (which I love). Do you think that's too big an ask? I do wish that multiFX pedals would show the metering on their compressors. As far as I can see neither the Zoom or the HX Stomp have that capability.
14. That's brilliant thanks Visog! Any opinions anyone for live useability?
15. I'd love to hear your opinion.......
16. Thanks Mikey ......am very interested to know your opinion!
17. Thomann, Richtone and various other places have had some for a week, or so. Maybe they sold out and have gone back to "on order." I suppose that it's early days for a review!
18. Anyone bought one of these yet? I'd love to read an unbiased review and/or a comparison to the Zoom B3n (which I currently use, but would change if the GT-1B is better)
19. Following my recent moaning and temporary disappointment with my new BigBaby 2, I thought that I should report back after my first gig since the horn disconnection issue was resolved. This cabinet is awesome. I was very happy with my set-up. Genz Benz Streamliner 600, Sandberg PM4, Zoom B3 and the BB2. Easily enough volume for virtually any pub that we play in (we don't mic the drums except the Bass Drum). Crystal highs, punchy mids and deep, but not boomy bass. (Rolled off the bass control a touch on the streamliner) Another very noticeable thing was that stuff that I have been playing for years, suddenly sounded clearer, more distinct and articulate. I especially noticed it in the Bass & Guitar Riff of Fleetwood Mac's "Oh Well" and in Red Hot Chilli Peppers' "Danni California". Anyway, my apologies for ever doubting Barefaced. I am very happy that I bought this cabinet. I can't see me needing to buy another in the foreseeable future. I am also happy with their customer service (despite being a bit crap at responding to emails). Alex kindly spent some time talking the problem through with me and has followed up with an email to make sure that everything is ok. Now I will wear my "Barefaced" T-Shirt with pride.
