Been doing some more work on some of Lozz's P basses.
Always a pleasure to deal with.

Nik. I might have a slow blow fuse here. Let me know what rating you need, before you come over to collect your bass and I can check.

I regularly get to work on Yamaha instruments and don't think I've yet encountered a bad one. Even the budget models, once set up properly are a pleasure to play.

I've got the hair these days and I can even walk and move about, but don't think that constitutes exciting.

Thanks Julian and thank you for entrusting with your bass. Hope you now get to enjoy playing it.

How sad.

I'm in Hoddesdon about twenty five minutes from Epping. If you don't go with Gig Gear, then give me a shout.

A trouble free and smooth transaction. Happy to recommend Danny.

Is a trip into Hertfordshire too far? If not our very own @gary mac might be able to look at this for you.
Thanks Lozz.
Bass Wielder, message me if you would like to chat.

Great upgrades Tim, looks smart.
Have you checked out my very popular, Mandolin Facebook Group?

Hello
I need to get the nut replaced on my musicman sabre, I'm working in stevenage and don't really know the area. Has anyone got any recommendations to take it to?
If Terry is too busy, I'm about twenty minutes from Stevenage and could do it for you the latter part of next week.

My wife recently surprised me with a G&L LB100 Tribute for my birthday. It plays and sounds to me, as good as the U.S. one that I had a couple of years back. Probably let down very slightly with a cheap nut, which I'll replace, if it bothers me enough.

I think I remember reading somewhere that @Lozz196 doesn't mind a black/black/maple Precision. 😉
Think you will find that Lozz finds maple rather last year😂 Who would have thought it.

A seamless transaction with Adam. Great comms, items exactly as described, packed to withstand Royal Mail handling and arrived in perfect condition the day after I had paid for it. Happy to recommend.

Basic set up is fine, but fret work, nut work & electrics (other than installing a KiOgon loom) I leave to the professionals, which in my case is our very own @gary mac (sadly minus the curly perm & Capri).
Thanks Lozz. I did once have a curly perm but never actually owned a Capri.

Good luck with it, hope you can get sorted.

That will be tricky then.
In the first instance, might be worth trying a polish that is nitro safe. This one is well regarded https://www.theguitarrepairworkshop.com/product-page/virtuoso-polish

When trying to repair a BH250 for a customer, I could get no help, schematics or advice from them. They have an approved repairer in Sheffield (name escapes me at the moment). What with courier fees, each way and a minimum charge to look at it, it wasn't cost effective to get it fixed.
-
What type of finish does the bass have?
-
Galien Kruger Fusion 500 for me.

Please keep this thread on track and play nicely, that way we won't have to lock it down.
