Hi Could you guys outline the usual proceedings when buying a bass from another forum member? i.e Without the protection of Ebay and PayPal what precautions can you take when buying from someone who is effectively a stranger to you? Here's what I had in mind but any suggestions would be welcome; Do you have the original invoice? Does the bass come with any warranty? Is it in 100% good condition? Has it had, or does it need a set up? Is there a hard case? Could you tell me how it would be packed? Delivery cost? Would you accept payment via PayPal? Cheers.

Hi I posted recently about video or sound samples for this bass. I still can't find a thing on YouTube but did have a conversation with a shop owner who assures me it sounds very similar to the classic Hofner violin bass. Which is good, as that's just what I'm looking for... I'm certainly interested in this bass but to be honest I'm a bit nervous about buying from a stranger (with all due respect). I usually buy from ebay because of the buyer protection, so this feels somewhat like a gamble to me. I hope you understand. Here's a few things I'd like to know; Do you have the original invoice? Hi. I may be interested in this. On paper it's what I want, but there doesn't seem to be anything out there as reference. No sound clips, no vids... I suspect that's the only reason this hasn't sold. Is there any chance you could post a video on YouTube so I (everyone) could hear what it sounds like. Cheers.
