1. Provided this form factor proves popular enough, if they don't do it themselves then eventually somebody else will.
2. Yeah, this is what I'm talking about. People who really want both to use together would still buy both, you'd just have an additional layer of flexibility from each one (at a cost, obviously).
3. As a current ADAM owner I won't be buying one either way though. Can't speak for everyone in my position of course, but I don't think it would be too far removed from their current model of offering multiple versions of the same drive with expanded functionality to suit different budgets and purposes. If the argument that they're not just trying to be 'the iPhone of effects pedals' holds any water, that is. I don't think they are trying to be that, but even so, they are still masters of generating FOMO. So regardless, I doubt it will ever happen.
4. I'll be interested if they release it as an alternative firmware option for existing ADAM owners. I'd happily pay something for that as an upgrade. Seems very unlikely though. If this all-digital 5 knob/3 rotary switch format is going to expand with similar B7K and VMT style versions in future iterations, maybe someone will figure out a way to hack them for cross-compatibility or custom firmwares in general.
5. Love my Alpha Omega and M900, but like others in here the Dingwall + ultra-clean distortion isn't really my vibe. I like having a bit more hair around the edges, which the A/O and VMT already provide very well. Still keen to hear more from this though - I'm sure it's capable of a lot more than what we're seeing so far, even if it's probably not gonna be a must-have for me personally.

Darkglass X7

I'm a self-confessed Darkglass junkie, and I love the concept of the whole multiband approach they're going for with this - it's something I've been doing myself in the studio for quite some time. However, from the demos I've seen so far I'm not really feeling the tone of the drive that they've gone for with this one. More than happy with my AO and the drive options in the M900. Think I'll be giving this one a miss, but I hope it does well and leads to some other variations.
7. Strings Direct have them right here: http://www.stringsdirect.co.uk/products/22...ingles_120_145_ http://www.stringsdirect.co.uk/products/22...ingles_120_145_ I don't think D'Addario make the .145's in taperwound though.
8. There's no way I could get by without an amp in my main band, and I love my GB Shuttle 6.0 and Barefaced Super Twelve T. I injured my lower back a couple of months ago, and it made me feel incredibly glad I don't have to lug around a Warwick 4x10 any more. The only change I'd consider making at present is to trade in the head for the 900w model.
9. Only ever had light usage at home, never been gigged. 10.
Would like to think that was said in humour rather than knocking some of us without your ability.
Absolutely said in humour. Although you wouldn't expect to get a left-handed piano, would you? (EDIT: I see I was beaten to the punch with this one, at least twice. Should have expected that really).
11. I'm another left-hander with the decency to learn my instrument the right way round.
12. Fingers. I used a pick for the first 12 months or so of playing, and eventually reached a point where I just hit a brick wall with it and found it really hard to make any progress. Switched to fingers and hardly looked back since, although I still kind of wish I could be proficient with a pick for a few certain things. I've picked it up again a few times since, but I've never quite been able to get the knack of it. Always feels unnatural.
13. As a recent Barefaced customer, I can assure you that Alex is more than helpful, and without going into too much detail he takes going the extra mile to another level entirely. Basically, I wouldn't worry too much - he's probably just busy. Still, no harm in giving him another nudge via the email to remind him if it's been more than a week or two.
14. Am I strange for liking the restriction that comes with single pedals? I'd like to hope it makes me think more carefully about what I buy and when I use it.
15.
If you're new to FX, then a multi fx unit is your best starting point so you can find out what fx does what & saves buying a couple of funky looking bricks. Once you know what's what then single pedals all the way (tho there's some very good multis that I'd have.
This is a very good point, to be fair. The main thing I dislike is that any multi FX units I've tried have had a negative effect on my tone when I'm not using them. I also usually find the pedals to be too close together, and in a high energy live environment I'd end up stepping on two at a time by mistake.
Oh, it's big, it's heavy, it's wood.
16.
2 Ren And Stimpy avatars. it's better than bad.
fixed
17. Try the One Control Mosquite Blender: http://www.ninevolt-japan.com/
18. Hate them. Convoluted, tone-sucking pieces of crap. Much prefer single effects for the stuff I REALLY need without the gimmicks. Less is more.
19. Unless I need use of the open strings in a particular key with no reasonable way around it, or unless I need to go lower than a B, I play everything in standard. I've been known to use drop D and drop A, but it's rare. Useful to be able to adapt to it though, should the situation arise!
20. As long as they know how to make it sound good I couldn't care less.
21.
If only it were true bypass. They're good pedals though, the guitarist in my old band used one.
Not an issue if you have a tuner out jack on your amp though.
22. I like a bit of slap, and I like a bit of two-handed tapping. As long as it's appropriate for the song, what's the harm?
