Thanks Risingson, tried one of those powerball things before and it was hard trying to get it to work. My mate has one so will ask to borrow it, see if I can get it working this time round. I'll take it all onboard and hopefully work towards being crampless(is that a word? If it ain't it should be!) Cheers Tony

Thank god it ain't just me. Ive just got back from gigging tonight and probably had my worst gig ever. Second set just went totally pear shaped. Severe cramp in my fretting hand, pinky and middle finger totally locked together. Had this happen a couple of times previously but have always managed to shake it off pretty much immediately. Tonight was a different story, wanted the ground to swallow me up. Now I do have quite small hands and fingers and as a side thought wondering perhaps I need to change to a shorter neck, although ive been playing long scale for donkeys years. I don't know perhaps I need to go back to basics and re-evaluate my technique and kick out the bad habits. Any more advice is welcome.

Hi, I have been using elixirs for the last two years and like them, they feel slick and have lasted an absolute age without losing any tone. I have never tried the DR range of coated strings, I was looking at the silver stars as Im unsure of this coloured string thing, it just doesn't rock my boat! Also the DR Bootzillas, as they apparently are clear coated and have a bit more bite. Thoughts please, should I stick with the tried and tested or try the greener grass on the DR side. Cheers Tony

Hi peeps, I love my korg pitchblack and the visibility of the Led when on stage, however the tracking on the Turbo Tuner is lightening fast. Looking at a few vids on this and it looks pretty good, wish the display was as clear and as distinguished as the pitchblack. Any thoughts?

Both comments so far have the octaver early in the chain which I haven't tried before, I suppose the tracking would be better. I'll give it a whirl.

Hi, Just about add a couple of new additions to my pedal board so I'm taking the opportunity to have a general spring clean. These are my pedals and the order I was thinking of putting them in the chain having read the sansamp booklet I'm a bit unsure where to stick the octaver. Korg Pitchblack tuner>EBS Multi comp> Sansamp PB>EBS Octa Bass>EBS Bass IQ>EBS Unichorus What do you think folks? Thanks Tony

Dan[/quote] Well Dan, having read all the reponses on here and on other forums it appears the ER15's are a popular choice. So, I'm booked into to Boots on Friday to get some moulds done. Worth mentioning ,if you join their Priority club, which you can do when ordering and arranging the fitting it automatically allows you to take on advantage on the discounted offers, if this case it should save me £25, think they are coming in at £148.00 or thereabouts. Must admit i'm a bit wary but, i have to do it simples! I wanna rock till I die! I'll let everyone know my thoughts when i get them to a gig. Tony

Great response peeps. How do I determine which set is for me? Obviously £160 a throw I want it to be right first time, rather than buying filter after filter till I get there. I was looking for somewhere in my area colne,lancashire that may be able to assist. I fear if I get er25 I won't be able to hear a thing. Is there a retailer out there where you can try the varying types of filter?

Hi, I've been to the audiologist today, as I have been misinterpreting words recently. So thought not everyone can be talking sh1t. Turns out my earing has been shot at, lost 40% coverage in the high frequency range and it has been caused by noise exposure, ie playing in band for 25 years. I have been advised to prevent further damage to invest in some specialist ear plugs for musicians. Has anyone else suffered for hearing damage, earplug advice? I understand Proguard are one of the best earplugs out there? Cheers Tony

Hi, For sale I have a Fender Gig bag that holds 2 basses. There is plenty of space for leads and the like with it's 6 additional pockets. Unfortunately one of the straps did break, so it currently has just the one. I only ever needed one as it was strung over my shoulder. Is has normal side handle and another handle at the head of the guitar. The other slight flaw is a minor rip on one side of the bag, shown in photos, i have used it since the rip and it hasn't got any bigger, i have covered it with some velcro and it appears to have done the job. This is quite bulky for postage so would prefer collection ideally, I would imagine postage being about £7 at a guess. £10 for the bag, cost £55 new. Thanks Tony

Well folks should I or shouldn't I. I currently have the bass iq and think it's great, however I have had my head turned by the wah one. Does anyone have any experience with this pedal, the pros and cons etc. If you were to buy and had a choice which would you go for? Cheers

Thoughts on the above, good flanger? I have originally been looking at the stereo mistress but it has a huge footprint but liked the sound. Would I be a million miles away with this? Thanks Tony
