  1. Both pedals are in excellent condition with box and no velcro on the base.

MXR Blue Box - fuzz octaver - £60

Script reissue 1990's. Excellent condition with box.
Takes your bass note and duplicates it two octaves down with a thick fuzz. Random, unpredictable, totally nuts! Stoner, doom fuzz.

    EBS DPhaser - £65

Amazing amount of phase sounds within a single pedal. With box and instructions. No longer made, so collectable.

3 different modes of cool phaser effects. 'Short' is the classic phaser effects recognized from the 70's, 'Long' emphasize the effects a bit more, while 'Wide' gives you extreme swirling flanger-like effects.

Hi, Lo and Off decides the resonance of the effect while the two controls change the width and rate.
In addition you can set a lot of parameters inside the box for fine tuning your sound - volume, phase center frequency, phase stages, low pass filter.

    Digital Technique-Analog Sound
The pedal is built with highest quality components and uses 24-bit digital processing circuitry for outstanding performance on stage and in the recording studio. While the pedal offer juicy analog sound, the use of digital technique makes it possible to fit in the same compact format that the Black Label Pedals are knowned and praised for.

  2. Eden D210XLT - 8 Ohm - £250 each - £450 for both. Both cabs are in excellent condition.
D210XLT features a pair of Eden designed 10” speakers, rated to handle 350 watts at 8 Ohms, and a high frequency horn. Great crystal clear sound from these cabs. Very good low end for 2x10s, because of the heavy duty build quality and the twin ports top and bottom. Horn volume is adjustable on the rear panel. Speakon and jack connections.
I use both cabs together with a GK legacy amp for a seriously low and detailed sound.
Both cabs are in excellent condition, one has only had studio use. Both come with Eden branded soft cases.

Can be tried in Finchley London.

I regularly replace dimmer switches that are either faulty or, with LED bulbs, just don't work very well.  Simple on-off rocker switches normally last for decades.

I also regularly replace dimmer switches designed for use with halogen or tungsten filament bulbs as nowadays you can pretty much only buy LED bulbs in your local supermarket and most people aren't aware that they won't work well with their existing dimmer switch.  If you google 'leading edge and trailing edge dimmers' you will get an understanding why.  Even so, trailing edge dimmers will not dim an LED anywhere near as well as the old leading edge dimmers could dim a halogen bulb.  A diode is a gate, it is either on or off but technology has provided us with dimmers for them; perhaps in a few years time we will have dimmers that actually work well with them, as in dim from 100% down to 0% with no strobing.

If there was a fan club for lovers of on-off rocker light switches, I would join.

    😀

  4. I swapped the amp over at the shop. Tried both amps in the store no difference, both were quiet no buzz? Brought the new amp home and there was no buzzing with the dimmer light. No idea if the original amp was faulty, but the replacement is quiet. Excellent sound, really nice eq and great preamp switching options. It's also super loud!

  5. Hi I have just got a legacy 800 but there's a couple of things annoying me. The amp sounds great, but it is being affected by lighting on a dimmer switch. There's a loud buzzing when I take my hand off the bass? Other lights don't affect it? Is this normal with the legacy amps, my old 800rb didn't do this?
Another smaller problem is that the on/off switch seems to be loose, it tightens when clicked on, but rattles when off. Seems strange as all the other switches a well engineered.
Could anyone let me know if this a normal across the new GK amps or do I have a dud?
Other than these problems, the amp seems great, I can't believe the volume I can get out of it and it closely sounds like my old 800rb.
    Thanks!

    Xotic BB bass preamp!

Super versatile yet easy to use. A constant on every board I've done since I've had it. They come up used every now and again.

    preview (2).jpg

This is the best overdrive I have used. Based on a tubescreamer but the eq is great. I play a jazz, mainly bridge pickup and this adds just the right amount of breakup and extra low end. No idea why Xotic stopped making these? I emailed them and they said they have a new version coming out in 2023.

  7. Now £1,550

I'd be interested in a partial trade for a mint Fender American elite, deluxe jazz or Precision.

Gibson Les Paul Standard built in 2004, Nashville, USA. Flame maple top with a root beer finish, rosewood fretboard, mahogany body and neck. I believe the root beers were only made for this model for 1 year. Weight 9.1lbs - 4kgs. The guitar is completely unaltered and comes with the original Gibson hard case.
I have owned it from new and it's never been gigged, studio work only so it's in very good condition for an 18 year old. There are a few minor scuffs/bumps on the back and at the bottom of the body from where it has been in stands but the top and neck/fretboard still look almost mint. There is some slight dulling in finish on the bridge and pickup covers. I have tried to show the marks in the photos.
Collection from Finchley, N.London or I can meet at trains and tubes in London.

    Here's the full spec:
    Flame maple top
    Root beer finish
    Rosewood neck with pearl inlays
    1950s shape neck
    Mahogany body and neck
Burstbucker pickups with three-position toggle switch, and volume/tone controls for each pickup.
    Kluson keystone tuners

  8. £50 incl post in UK.

I'm having a bit of a clear out. Fender american standard/deluxe/elite 5 string bridge. These are weighty, solid brass bridges that add sustain and better contact to the body wood.

4 screw mount for Fender USA jazz/precision, standard, pro, deluxe, elite. This bridge features grooved and plated brass barrel-style saddles, hi-mass sustain block, and top-load or strings-thru-body bridge plate design. Will not retrofit directly to a traditional 5-screw mount bridge. Slight pitting on the rear underside as shown, i think it came from the factory like this?

  9. DV247 seems to be owned by a German co called musicstore. The problem is that their main warehouse is in Cologne, so UPS insisted in charging import tax and admin fees as the neck was a EU import. But because I ordered the neck from the UK site, DV247 had to refund the import charges. I think this problem is the same for Thomann and Bax?

  10. Hi, can anyone help with this. The Boss SY1 has a trs jack in for an expression pedal or tap/hold. I am using dunlop dvp4 and a mosky dual tap. I have a split y trs cable - single trs to dual trs. If both the exp pedal and the dual hold are plugged in, the exp works but the dual hold has a lag and you have to hit it twice to work. The mosky hold switch works fine on its own. Any ideas why plugging the exp in would affect the tap/hold?

Hi, I bought a Fender fretless neck from DV247, £193, shipped from Germany, delivered by UPS. I was charged an extra £51 by UPS before they would deliver. So it seems that the UK import charges are now the same for USA or Europe or the world. Not sure what happened to all those brexit trade deals??

Just a follow-up to this. DV247 finally reimbursed me the £51. It was a quick and painless procedure involving about 20 emails, creating an account with UPS and finally having going to the UPS office to get an invoice. Only took 4 months. Easy peasy...grrrrrr.

I have asked DV247 if this correct for the UPS charge? Still waiting for an answer. I'll let you all know the outcome.

I wonder how this import charging is going to affect all of the retailers with a UK base, but their stock in Euro warehouses? Also what about the Euro bass makers? It might end up with USA Fenders being cheaper than Sandbergs etc?

This is from a BBC site. It appears that the import charges are even more when sending from UK to France! This is going to hurt a lot of small businesses, the govt should sort this mess out.
