1. just bought a bass from Yann Excellent communication & very happy with the bass. Would certainly buy/sell again with Yann.
2. this does it for me - 2 minute blast with some tasty bass to boot.
3. Bought a Hartke LH500 from Paul - very pleased. Would definitely buy from Paul again. stu
4. allo allo i'm stu the bassist for Instant Species - we play perky guitar pop & are currently working on album no 8. there's a nice recent video of us & some music to listen to here: www.instantspecies.co.uk We're mainly in it for the tea & biscuits these days - hope you enjoy cheers stu
5. Tom just bought my Fender Jaguar - an absolute pleasure to deal with! Would be more than happy to trade with Tom again in the future. thanks very much Tom
6. Hi Selling my Fender Jaguar - lovely bass but having it has made me realise i'm a passive man after all. Just not making use of the active controls & finding myself going back to my knackered old MIM jazz instead. There are a couple of small dings as per the photos but overall in very good condition - a good 8 out of 10 I got it with a slightly tatty gig bag so will also throw this in. I'm based near Bolton but work takes me to assorted locations throughout the North of England - especially across the M62 and down the M6 - so could arrange to meet up to hand deliver. Could also post if needed - not done this before but can't be that difficult! I don't contribute on here very often but have bought previously via Basschat & my ebay profile has 100% positive feedback on 361 transactions. If you would like to come & try it out you are very welcome I would like £375 please cheers stu
7. complete cheat i realise but i couldn't find a topic called "show us you miming along in a promo video". It's short & sweet though. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YrhAJf50pmo
8. i've used Phil Hartley just a few months ago - very pleased with the results.
9. Hi Buzz cheers for that - Andy was one of the first people i contacted & he came back very quickly with this: your pickups would seem to both be neck spaced - BUT the mounting lugs seem further apart than normal. Ours are 91.5 x 18 and the mounting lugs centres are approx 37mm apart. Looks like you'll have to get something from Fender. Somewhere along the line they seem to have changed the pups in the mexican jazz - newer ones i believe would take any number of replacement pups but not sure they'll fit the routing in my bass.
10. Hi y'all sorry to barge straight in with a techie question but i'm really in need of some help. I'd like to replace the pickups on my elderly & decrepit (but much loved) mexican jazz bass - it dates from the early 90s & both pickups measure 92 x 19mm with a gap between screw holes of 40mm. Will anything off the shelf fit these dimensions? All the ones i can seem to find are different dimensions for the neck & bridge which don't look like they'll fit. Will have a go at minor mods if necessary (it's not exactly a thing of beauty anymore) but the easier the replacement the better really. All help very gratefully received cheers stu
