2. That's brilliant. Are you going to a tutor? Or learning from books/Internet? Would appreciate any tips 😊 Thanks ZH
3. That's so interesting! I love it! I can relate to the no musical training thing... Note names are foreign to me... I learn by ear mostly! But always wish I started with a load more music theory! ZH
4. Absolutely brilliant. It's so trippy. I feel so zoned out haha
5. Sliding harmonics are super fun! 😊 Thanks for the book suggestion. I also like the look of this one: Steve Bailey's Fretless Bass: The Ultimate Fretless Bass Workout (Book & DVD (Hard Case)) https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/0739040790/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_e24TCbK7TPHSS Cheers Lefty! X
6. Brilliant Al Krow! My fretless journey is very fun so far! 😊
7. Wow I love this! I'm definitely gonna give this a bash!! Brilliant. Thanks!! X
8. Haha ill check, check, then check my tuning again every time I pick it up 😊 I should be doing some recording work soon, and it's the kinda stuff that a fretless would sound amazing on. So fingers crossed! Haha! I'll have some spare time to practice soon. So that'll be absolutely great! Thank you mcnach! X

10. Thank you! I've been listening to some Tony Franklin and he is incredible! I'm mostly into rock, but when it comes to bass playing I'm open to all genres 😊 Cheers again, Zoe
11. Thank you all! 😁 I'm super excited to give all the tips and tricks a go! And thank you for the song suggestions too! ZH
12. Cheers Dan! This is what I've started off doing, getting used to playing sharp has been a little strange! Starting to get used to it already though, started off with making sure I could hit the octaves to open strings to check intonation etc... excited to learn to new stuff! 😊 ZH
13. Hello! I haven't been around on this forum in ages! It's good to be back! Today my Fender Jazz Special made a friend! I purchased my first fretless bass, a Squier Jazz Fretless. I'm just getting to grips with playing it, and I'd love to know what fretless songs you think would be good practice for me. Thanks! ZH😁
14.
Looks like the EBS FuzzMo is being discontinued and they are being blown out at ridiculous prices around £40 (they were over £120 new): http://www.ebay.co.u...s-/172421144811 There's a thread on here with many happy buyers jumping on them recently - seems like a decent pedal that never took off due to lack of hype/marketing I guess. Once all stock has gone you'd easily be able to sell it for £50 or more used, so you have nothing to lose! EHX Bass Big Muffs pop up used for cheap also. If it's more overdrive/distortion you might seek rather than fuzz, good budget options apart from the TC MojoMojo are the Joyo Orange Juice and Golden Face:
Will definitely check out the EBS one, Cheers Danny! Zo x
15.
The Chowny Fuzzster gets good reviews and some love on here. It's 50 quid ish too and looks well cool http://chownybass.co...ass-fuzz-pedal/
Hey! This is one of the ones I was checking out last night actually! Cheers for the input Zo x
16.
Hey Zoe, how's it going? The TC Electronics MojoMojo can do a really good fuzz tone if you crank the drive control flat out. The pedals voice has more low end and mid-range than something like the Big Muff too, so it sits in the mix better. You can pick them up new for about £40, less if you buy used. Give your old man a big sloppy kiss from me, he's stopped talking to me for some reason!
Hey you! Thanks for the advice dude! Also, I'll give my Dad a kick up the arse for that! haha. I'll sort him out! Zo x
