  1. Hey, My current band is in the process of switching to IEM’s and doing away with the backline. I’m using the LD Systems MEI100 G2 wireless system as well as some KZ IEM’s from Amazon. My bass runs into a SansAmp Bass Driver DI and then straight to the desk. So far, the sound is brittle, thin and lacks any low end whatsoever. I’ve tried to EQ every way possible using the SansAmp but nothing is working. The strange thing is is the SansAmp sounds fantastic when recording using my Mac and the IEM’s sound great when listening to music playback. In a band situation it all sounds a bit rubbish when put together. How can I emulate the sound I get from my Orange Terror 500 using this setup? I’m used to a full fat tone when playing live with heaps of low end. Is this even possible with IEM’s? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

  3. I remember when they went on sale - were they around £3.5k to the UK? I seem to remember the import charges being mega steep. It is lovely but damn expensive.

  6. Hey, I've noticed a lot of love for these amps in the chat. I've not had the chance to try one but did have some experience with the old MAG series around 10 years or so ago. Do they live up to the hype? I always remember my old Ashdown amp sounding kinda wooly with little definition. Have things moved on? I'm currently using an Orange Terror 500 but would love to try one of these sometime. Thanks, James
  7. I own the RB110 and for a little practice amp it sounds incredible. I don't have any experience with the larger combos in the range but I can definetely vouch for this one. It does pretty well keeping up with an electric kit, vocalist and guitarist. I certainly wouldn't gig with it though.

  9. Hi Does anyone know where I can source some castors for a GK Neo 212? I’ve tried the usual Amazon ones but no joy. They’re a pop socket setup. I don’t really want to screw new castors into the cabinet. Just after ones that will fit straight in the existing sockets. Many thanks 👍
  10. 2 x EBS CL 112 Bass Cabinets. 8 ohms. 250 watts each. Include Roqsolid covers. £300 for the pair including covers. Total bargain considering they’re £340 each new without covers. These are truly superb cabs and pack a real punch. I’ve paired them with my Orange Terror 500 and they move some serious air. Great weight and easy to transport due to their super compact size. I bought them to replace my GK rig but it turns out I’m just too much of a GK fanatic and have decided to keep my old rig. I’d like these to go this weekend if possible otherwise I might trade them beginning of the week against a new bass that I’m looking at. Collection from Seaham or local delivery available. Thanks 😀
  11. Hey, Up for sale is my GK Neo 212-II in great condition and in full working order. Rated at 8ohms and an excellent one cab solution. I’ve used it for medium-large gigs for the past couple of years and it hasn’t missed a beat. Sounds amazing with my Orange Terror 500. Selling in order to downsize. Comes with a roqsolid cover which does have a tear in the side but still provides good protection. Collection only due to size but also happy to meet around the North East. Thanks 😊
  12. This has to be the most regretful listing of all time, but here we go... I've been offered the opportunity to by a long sought after P-Bass and being the owner of a couple of passive jazz basses, it makes sense for this one to go. The others I just can't part with for sentimental reasons. It's a superb example of the Flea roadworn series and plays like an absolute dream. Neck is super comfortable, fantastic sounding pickups and a great weight at 8.9lbs. The bass is true to form and has had no modifications. It really is a tough one to part with. Collection from County Durham is preferred but I am happy to ship at a cost of £35. If shipping is required then I will source a gig bag and good strong packaging. As always, all PM's welcome and buyer welcome to try if in the local area. Thanks 🙂
  13. Lovely this. What would be a good price for a private buy on one of these? 🤔
  14. That’s good to know 👍 I’m just going by YouTube reviews due to not being able to try one out. I may buy one and see how it plays out of the box. Any major adjustments you had to make?
  15. Hey, I’m considering buying a Sterling Ray 4 and upgrading the pickup and potentially the pre-amp. From the YouTube reviews I’ve watched the biggest complaint appears to be the electronics producing a lot of distortion and not being the best quality. If I switch out the pickup will I see a big improvement in tone or will the onboard pre amp need to be replaced as well? This is my first venture into this as well. Many thanks 🙏
  16. Thanks for the replies everyone. Copper it is for me as well after much deliberation. Now to raise the required funds... 👀
  17. Gauging opinion in case I decide to finance one of these in the near future (long stretch though). Which is the better finish do you think? Even better, does anybody own one?
  18. Sorted through Eurosender. I had my length and height mixed up which is why the quote was so high. Corrected this and with insurance came to £25. Thanks for all the help and recommendations everyone 👍
  19. I’m getting £25-£30 uninsured through interparcel. It’s the insurance that really ramps up the cost. I guess that’s the big decider.
  20. Cheers Deedee. Have you always found it cheaper to use interparcel rather than through UPS directly? I've tried through their website but it's difficult to say the least. Many thanks.
