1. Now sold to enthusiastic new owner 🙂
2. I think the weight is correct- I'm actually away from home at the moment but I think that was the figure when I weighed it. It was less than I expected. As soon as I can I'll check. It's a shame they didn't bookmatch the flame maple or whatever it is but it does indeed look very nice- the subtle green tint is pretty cool.
3. Perfect for posing! And actually quite a good bass, especially the fretless neck. Made in Korea (presumably South). I've gigged it a few times but it's mint. String spacing at the bridge is about 16.5mm on the fretted neck and 19mm on the fretless. Weighs 6.1Kg. Located in Barnet, north London.
4. Just bought muzzer's NS Design. A complete pleasure to deal with :-) Highly recommended.
5. Just bought an early 5 string Status from Steve- a complete pleasure to deal with.
6. Strings too far apart for me I'm afraid but someone will really enjoy this. Get your dollars out, guys! GLWTS.
7. I have one of these and it's the best thing since well before sliced bread. Whoever buys this will be extremely chuffed about it :-)
8. Here is my truly groovy Galveston twin-neck. It's a bit odd in having a four string fretless neck and a 5-string fretted one, but actually I like it like that. It's passive, with VVTT controls and a top/bottom/both selector switch. NEW PRICE £350. I'm selling it not because I don't play it, but because I like the double neck concept so much I'm getting another one. And even I (apparently) don't need two twin-neck basses. So over to someone else. Despite the rudimentary electronics it sounds pretty good, and everyone who's played it loves it. I bought it new and it's always been in its case or round my neck (or someone else's), so it's in mint condition. The pheolic fretless fingerboard is particularly nice. Collection preferably from north London. Cat [s]optional[/s] not for sale.
9. 16.5 is an option for just about everything, and if it was that spacing, I'd be on my way to Hull now :-) But I think most of them are 18mm.
10. Thanks. IMHO any BXP is a bargain unless there's something seriously wrong with it. Now I've settled on the 5 string I have no absolutely intention of letting it go!
11. As you may know these basses are amazing value- great, versatile tone, thru-neck and very well made. I bought it as an experiment to decide whether I really wanted to go back to 4 strings (I also have the 5 string version of it- NOT for sale) and decided I don't. But it's a great bass. It's crazy that they don't make them any more. Actually it's not that crazy from Peavey's point of view. The fact is that if they did still make them, there would be no point buying the more expensive USA-made ones. As you can see it has a knob missing (I shall research getting another one), but apart from that it's almost mint- no actual dings as such, and no buckle rash*. It's strung with Status Hotwires 35-95. I'm in north London, and collection is the best option, though I could post. *I've uploaded better photos as the first lot were rubbish, and this has made me realise that A) A bit of veneer on the headstock is loose (careful use of glue required) The bass is rather dusty. So it's time it was played!
12. Just realised there's this feedback thingy, so somewhat tardily (by about a year) I'd like to say it was a great pleasure to meet John and buy his excellent Peavey Cirrus, which I've enjoyed hugely ever since. Cheers, John. Steve
13. Great to meet Richard yesterday and swap my Ibanez SR705 for his Hohner B2. Very helpful and copoperative about the whole thing and I hope he enjoys his foray into the world of the B string, while I get to grips with minimalist bass design.
14. Never thought I'd sell this as I do really like it and I don't expect to get much money for it, but the fact is since buying a Devon fretless I haven't been playing it, so might as well let someone else have the pleasure. Plus my wife is on about reducing the number of unplayed instruments in the house (you get the idea...) I've said "SR?05" as I don't actually know what it is- it's an SR 205 or 305, but I don't know beyond that. The pickups aren't Barts. As you can see it's had the paint on the body removed, which I think is really nice. Currently it's strung from E to C, though I can bung in a B string if you want to go lower. The neck and the whole feel of it is, for me, brilliant. I checked out GWBs a couple of times but they didn't feel nearly as good as this, so I never bothered buying one. No case, I'm afraid. £220 collected from north London or £250 posted to UK.

16. I just bought the Ibanez SR506 from Ivan- completely sound bloke, even though I didn't actually meet him in the event. Bass is excellent- if you're considering a 6er this is a great tool. It was in practically mint condition with what appeared to be new strings, and even the original box. Buy from Ivan with confidence, though to be fair I expect he would appreciate some money as well. Steve
