Just got this, from here, but a couple of plays has told me it's not for me.
The quest for low gain tone continues...
in excellent condition, everything works well. Very sturdily built. Comes in it's own box, complete with little plastic feet.No power supply.
£115 securely and safely posted to your door.

I'm looking for a 4 string neck for a project, ideally 40mm width with a deep U profile.
Tried a trad P neck (42mm, modern C), but not what I'm looking for.
I had a Wishbass that in my memory was ideal, very deep profile.
The project is a 51P bitsa, with a Tele style headstock (which I'm happy to reshape from 'normal')
The short version of my question is this: is there a 4 inline neck with 40mm nut and deep U profile available anywhere?
Thanking you....

An excellent read, and a lovely reminder of some great looking basses. Well done, that man!

Well, it has arrived. Pics soon (I'm supposed to be working...). First impressions favourable/good/great. More details soon.
Where's the NBD thread, then? I've been waiting HOURS for some vicarious pleasure.
Think of your civic duty, man...

Found this while searching for info.
Seems reassuringly thorough...

If it helps anyone, I've just emailed Andertons about neck width, neck depth and weight. Will pass any reply on...

Late to the party I know.
Bought one a few weeks ago. The pickup is utterly pants, as it's a cheapo six pole guitar pickup.
Tuners and bridge are fine, although the bridge saddles can skate around on the baseplate. Be sure to give them a nudge if your strings feel off-centre.
I did some fettling on mine... Warman Twin Loco pickups, vvt controls, side mount jack, stripped and oiled the neck. Oh, and I disintegrated the nut with a polishing mop. 🙄... Jazz nut from Tusq fits but it needed a little shim to bring it up to height. It's now my number 1 bass! 😎
The neck looks really good- how did you achieve this, may I ask?

Hi, interested in these. How far through their 'life cycle' would you say they were?
Daft question, probably, but I've asked it anyway!
Cheers.

I would put in a vote for TI rounds here (JR344). As flexible and supple as the flats, smooth to the touch like the flats (don't know how they do that with rounds), but with all the growl you could wish for.
Sliding harmonics are a doddle.
Some chorus and reverb (not too much) and a slight boost to the mids = Harmonic Heaven.

One thing I’ve found really useful is the Moises app. It uses AI to separate instruments into different tracks, so you can isolate and adjust them on the fly. It syncs across devices so I can listen to the songs out and about and crank the bass up independently of the other instruments to help me learn the lines. See example below. The desktop app gives full waveforms. It also tells you the chords and transcribes the lyrics. Amazing!
And no I don’t have shares in the company!
This looks great, but I listen through Spotify. Do I have to buy the tracks I need? Sorry if that's a dumb question (I think it probably is...)
