Thanks for watching
Here is another slightly longer video, mainly has a load of waffle at the start, but its got footage of us setting it all up to record.
We set it up to record ourselves, all sorts of mics (that our keys player/producer could tell you) I can remember some neumann's being there but I'm not massively techy on that side of stuff myself. All just set up and ran into protools behind the stage.
We had a plan of how we were going to position the mics prior to turning up, basically just singling out the brass in sections, and seeing how it sounded.
We did about 6 takes altogether for the camera crew to get lots of angles, but they had a couple of cameras that they found to be defective AFTER we had finished, so we didn't get as much footage of the brass band as we would have liked to be honest.
We have mentioned with the band the idea of doing a full gig with them, and they were really excited at the idea, but it may end up hard to put together due to the space needed to have us all there, and they have a very busy schedule generally... I'm really hoping it does happen though!
As far as us, Dresden, you can get our debut album for free at dresdenmusic.com
This track isn't on there, its one of the first we have started recording for our 2nd album, but we are in no rush with it at the mo. -
Here is the finished video in case anyone fancies a watch -
Cheers. -
Oh, and cos it looked like a few people like to see the insides and all that, I took a quick pic with my phone whilst Dave was looking at it...
Is this a nicely wired one? I dont know what Im looking for, lol. -
Haha, cheers, but I reckon it will...
Got up this morning all excited, and... it wouldn't turn on
Just been in and had it serviced with Dave Lunt, he said it was one of the best kept ones he had seen (its still got the original plastic cover)
He had a bit of a fix around, replaced the heavy duty mains switch, the treble pot, bias trimmer, bias cap and something else bias that I cant read on the invoice.
Now its sounds sweet on first listen, gonna go platy some more -

I picked this up today, so am looking fwd to getting it plugged in and having a good go tomorrow.
Prob get is serviced pretty soon just to make sure it's all tip top -

Thats a shame, I remember when I was gonna buy this but you had a trade arranged! Sorry to hear it fell through.
Gorgeous bass still! Best of luck -
I'll take it if he doesn't!
-
Anyone recommend a good Manchester amp tech?
-
Cheers folks, I like the sound of it being hard to kill!
-
Getting hold of a Sound City b120 mk4, and its my first foray into the world of fully valve amps, so I'm pretty excited!
Who's got one? Any tips or tricks, or any good or bad stuff to say about them? -
-
Management is the one thing we really need too, but it all seems a bit of a nightmare getting anyone...
best of luck mate. -
I will be there mate, as I play bass in Dresden
Shaping up to be a great night all round by the sounds of it. -

I've already seen your pics on the rigs thread, and am alread very jealous mate -
I'm after the 2x15
-
Also want! Just been looking at these myself last night
-
I like it, would get one built in white if I come into some cash... ever.
-
That's quite tempting, would be interesting to try a 4x10... Norwich is a fair old way though!
-
I've tended to use two 1x15's for the last 12 or so years since I got my first head/cabs separates, a peavey firebass 700 and two black widow 1x15's
Barely used many other configurations really, other than when I have used my ampeg ba300 1x15 combo. -
Ampeg B-Series 1x15 has been sold, still got the Classic around though...
-
Just another bad website problem!
-
Just to make you aware, that says PPC 410, not an OBC 410...
Just done a recording with a 20 piece brass band :D

I mean really... fantastic song; great video and production. You should be rightly chuffed about it
Let me know next time you're playing locally around Manchester - I'd certainly like to see you guys live.
Thanks very much mate
We try not to do 'normal' gigs, but we played a gig last night for the The Laboratory Project indie label that have included this track on a compilation, its on iTunes and all other places now, so I reckon we are looking at September for our next event, I will let you know
Thanks again for watching, its nice to know people are
