5. Bought from Bass Gear in January this year. Used only a hand full of times, never gigged and is in MINT condition. Great instrument hand made in Scotland, fantastic bass for the money, they really take time and dedication into building their instruments. Has a great UK hand made feel about it, it's a very good cross between Musicman/Warwick vibe. Selling for £895, PRICE DROP NOW SELLING FOR £800 these basses are becoming so popular that they have now risen to £1200 retail in the last couple months! This is a real steal! 7. Cheers guys, yeah it sounds lovely! Throw a sponge under the strings, whip of the shadows of Motown book and your away! yeah I've given it a normal hygiene clean, but as you have all said I've left the electrics alone! I don't think they need any care anyway, again thanks for all your help and advice
 8. Here's the only pictures I have on my phone, hope you guys like it
 9. Thanks for all your advice guys! I'll leave the strap screws alone, I bought a new strap which seems very right and secure! As for the hardware, I think I'll just give it a clean up for hygiene reasons, but keep that authentic vibe still with it! I'll post a picture of the body for you, as I'm at work and I have one on my phone from the other day Again, thank you for your help!
 10. Hi there, Selling on behalf of my brother. Mint condition Cornford 4x12 Richie Kotzen cab. Fitted with Vintage 30 speakers! I believe the serial number for this cab is around 46/7? Out of a few hundred ever being made! FYI the cab is the bottom one in the picture attached. £400 collected from Stansted, Essex.
 11. Hey guys, Hope you can help! Bought myself a '68 jazz bass, all original which I'm loving at the moment! I restrung it when I first got it and gave it a rather basic clean up. Now I'm thinking of giving it a setup, restring and maybe a more thorough clean. The finish is highly worn away, and quite a lot of the hardware is grubby, a bit rusty etc. Do you guys think its worth cleaning it up, as I know there's a lot of people that love its authenticity when it's like that. But I'd quite like to just make it a bit more 'hygienic' lol! Again the screws around the pickups look a bit dirty from years of playing. Is it worth it, or is this just me being a bit to anal for no reason? Also the original strap screws don't fit on strap locks, and they won't come out. Again is that something not worth risking playing about with, or what would you guys do if you were in my shoes? Hope you can just give some advice on what you would do! Thanks guys, Jamie
 12.
A lovely old Jazz with mojo a plenty Pedant hat on/ The 67 seen on the pot codes is not part of the date, in fact the only date that can be seen on the centre pot looks like 6644, 1966 week 44, the 137 indicating CTS manufactured.

Most Fenders from 1966 to 1969 have 1966 dated CTS pots. Apparently CBS/Fender bought a large stock of pots in 1966 that lasted till 1969.
How the Source-Date Code Works. In either case, the code works the same. The first 3 digits on a pot, or the first 2, 3 or 4 digits on a speaker are the source or manufacturer code. The remaining 3 or 4 digits are the date code. In 3 digit dates code, the 1st digit is the last digit of the year. On 4 digits date codes, the 1st and 2nd digits are the last two digits of the year. In either case, the remaining 2 digits are the week of manufacture (01 to 52). With this in mind, remember if the last two digits of the source-date code are greater than 52, you're not looking at the source-date code!
Cheerz, John
What he says is true! I have a '68 Jazz, and that seems to tick all the boxes! That is a lovely bass, however yes the finish is very rich, I love it! Almost like the Jaco tribute bass. The finishes are identical! Bump on me mate, Jamie
