    Reason flat DI soundes better is due to bassists general inability to actually get a good tone! Go to a studio and any decent engineer just sets up the bass for them as this is the case. (probably due to bassist either wanting +11 on bass or try get it sounding guitsr like)

    Hi there, My band is taking part in a local 'battle of the bands' but it is a sponsored charity event for a local charity (it's for Myton hospice) Now there will be a couple shows to go watch to raise money but on top of that the voting for this is online. now I ask all of you bass enthusiasts who i've been with for the last couple years (lurking at least) to help my band Skies of Deceit win. If we win, we end up getting a full day recording at a local studio to produce a single! This would mean SO much to the band as having a proper 'studio quality' record would beat out anything we could put together ourselves. the website is: http://www.musicformasses.co.uk/ all you have to do is Press the box next to skies of deceit, enter E-mail and submit. YOU WILL NOT!!!!!! receive any e-mails from anybody via' doing this it's just to make it a little more obvious about if a band is cheating etc! It would mean so much, thankyou very much James!
